Hey Mitcho!
Right, when I turn off the automatic display options for posts the problem disappears.
I have never had the ‘also display on archives’ feature ticked, so it’s not that.
For some reason, when I have the automatic display option for posts ticked I get the strange date issue.
I haven’t changed anything at all since using previous YARPP versions which were all just fine, so something has changed in version 4 that is somehow being called or affecting that post excerpt on the homepage.
Is it worth me sending you the homepage file to look at the actual code used there?
I can either send you a file or give you FTP access to my staging site which is identical to production.
Let me know if you can help, and thanks again for your time! π
Hey Mitcho!
Thanks for the reply!
I’m just using the default list setting that I’ve selected in the backend.
Nothing custom at all.
With all previous versions of YARPP it’s been just fine and when I deactivate v4.0 the problem goes away.
YARPP doesn’t actually display any related posts on the homepage, so I’m not too sure why it’s affecting the posts there.
Any ideas what I need to look at?
I’m not really a coder at all though, so am a little limited!
Thanks! π
Hey Mitcho!
Thanks for that, it would be so cool if the plugin could call up custom posttypes in the backend and allow YARPP to be turned on or off per post type.
Keep me posted on progress or if you need anything tested!
Hahaha, I think this was actually me getting mixed up.
The blog post that I wasn’t receiving notifications on wasn’t written by me as the admin.
It was actually submitted by another member of my site. THEY have been receiving the notifications instead of me as the admin.
I only receive mail for the comments that need approval.
Is this the desired behaviour?
Shouldn’t admins get notifications of ALL comments?
Hi guys, I have a similar issue, but it only affects comments left by ALREADY APPROVED AUTHORS.
So say for instance a new comment is made by someone who has never left a comment, then I get an email to approve it.
I have my settings to then let those with one approved comment, post more comments and they won’t need moderating.
When someone then goes onto to leave another comment I DON’T get the notification.
I have the box ticked to email me whenever anyone leaves a comment, as well as when a comment needs moderating.
Only happened since WP 3.4.
I don’t have Safe Mode on and all other emails that are sent using PHP Mailer seem just fine.
Any ideas?

In reply to: [TPC! Memory Usage] Bar graph missing styles on DashboardI still get this!
Has anyone found out why the bar isn’t being filled with colour on the dashboard?
Any ideas, and is the author around to do an update?
Great plugin, that I’m sure many people use!

In reply to: [BP Profile Search] BP Profile Search problems with required fields in BP 1.5Once again, works for me now, no problem!
The only weird thing I did notice is that if I did a specific age range search that I knew I, myself should fall into, I wasn’t showing up in it at first, even though my Date Of Birth field was correctly filled out and should have shown in the search.
After saving my profile data again, I then showed up.
Is there a reason for that do you think, or did it just require a save, for it to update the plugin somehow with the field?
Is it likely other people will be missing from age range searches?
Thanks SO much for this!

Mr. Gibbs, yet again you have come to the rescue!
You’re an absolute legend mate!
Can’t wait for the update Andrea!
This is such a useful plugin!
Anyone know if this plugin is going to get an upgrade soon to fix the graphical issues with the memory usage bar graphic?
From what I see, the plugin still works just fine except for the CSS and graphics?

In reply to: [BP Profile Search] BP Profile Search problems with required fields in BP 1.5@noriise, I currently have the plugin disabled at the moment as I can’t use it in it’s current form.
Would be absolutely awesome if we could get a fix on the required fields issue.
Really would love to use it.
