In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] [Plugin: WP SlimStat] Some questions and PraiseInstalled it and tested in all 3 browsers.
IT WORKS.
All is now logged with the correct paths and everything.
Thanks for the great help and updates, Ron
PS. Could it be possible for the Recent Downloads area to get a MORE link in the topright corner, so it can go to a seperate page for large viewing?
I now know why I got the whitw screen of death. You code has a typo error in the tutoral&FAQ.
<?php if(function_exists(‘vslider’){ vslider(‘abc’); } ?>
should be:
<?php if(function_exists(‘vslider’)){ vslider(‘abc’); } ?>you forgot the closing )
Now no white screen anymore, only the whole site (and browser) locks up as if all just keeps loading and loading and the header disappears.

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] [Plugin: WP SlimStat] Some questions and PraiseI am not using taget=_blank in the download links. The download links go straight to the file that is outside the WP folder and in a .htaccess protected folder (members have to input there user/pwd with the first download and then the cookie is set.)
Just to be clear about Firefox and Chrome.
I can see the downloads logged in the admin area with ALL browsers.
But when I download a file with Firefox or Chrome from the front end (just as a member would do), then they are not logged correctly. It is as if Firefox and Chrome are blocking your stats code (onclick …..) to register the file.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] [Plugin: WP SlimStat] Some questions and PraiseI updated and the popup is gone now.
The download stats, when downloading the file with IE, now also shows the file next to the little link icon.
But when downloading a file with Firefox or Chrome the download stats (or lack there of) are still the same. There appears a new line/time, but the file is that downloaded is not logged, so I can not see what is downloaded and that same empty line gets overwritten with every new download (the time changes) The area next to the little external link icon stays empty.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] [Plugin: WP SlimStat] Some questions and PraiseOK,
In IE the downloads are logged correctly. I can see what is downloaded by hovering the mouse over the little external link icon (2 squares with an arraw) and that shows the exact download link in the Recent Downloads box under the tab content. That is the only place/way I can see what is downloaded. Every other info just give the domain Url.
If I download a file using Firefox or Chrome it does not get tracked/logged correctly. The new download is in the Recent Downloads box under the tab content, but the external link icon only shows my domain (http://www.domain.com) so no url to the file.
All the logged times are 7 hours earlier then my local time.
Is it normal to have a popup appear everytime when clicking on a link with the link tracking code (onclick=”slimstat_track_download(event)”) added to it, like the example in the second message?
I tried the avoid conflict code, but that changed nothing. I do not use Lightbox
This new latest update solved my problem. Now the player does all without problems.

In reply to: [WP Password Generator] [Plugin: WP Password Generator] Thanks and suggestionHi, I use Global Hide/Remove Admin Bar Plugin to prevent user/members having access. I run a paying members site, with no free signup possibility.
My members have absolutely no access to their profile stuff. The only thing they can do is use the lost password link. Which will work for access to the blog, but not for the downloads I offer my members.
I use .htaccess user/pwd to control access to the downloads with are outside the WP folder due to limitations WP has. I create each and everyone user login manually and add them to the .htpasswd file (outside the WP folder) manually.
This leaves me with only one option and that is to also disable the Lost Password link. Anyway I always have the password stored in the program I use for password management.
I already use SB Welcome Email Editor, but the emails are still standarized, what I need is an option for a non-standard short message to be added when creating, extending or upgrading the membership. I search for it everywhere and it does not seem to exist yet, which was a big surprise to me, for something so basic.
Thank you and regards, Ron

In reply to: [HD FLV PLayer] [Plugin: FLASH VIDEO PLAYER PLUGIN] After reading here ……great support for paying $49.
Documention on the website is extremely minimal.
All links regarding documentation, knowledge base just all go to the same non telling nothing less then usefull, well whatever you want to call it.For someone who claims has the best FLV player and HD, sure needs a good wakeup call.

In reply to: [Stream Video Player] amazon s3 failure – file not foundI am at the moment searching for a good player and from what I have found is that this one will not work with CDN, since the player/js or whatever needs to be on the same domain, that probably means even a cname with cdn will not work.
I will keep on looking for a player that does support CDN and has a playlist feature.

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] [Plugin: WP SlimStat] Some questions and PraiseAgain sorry, but just noticed something new you should know.
The links now do get tracked. I tested now in IE8 and tracking shows up under recent downloads (how recent is recent? for the whole period of 30 days I set in the conf.?)
However when I use Firefox (my standard browser ofcourse) there is a track, but it only shows the domain (mine) and since all sownloads are on the same domain nothing gets added. This ofcourse could have to do with 1 of the addons I use in Firefox. I will try and turn the ones I think might be interfering and let you know.Well just deactivated all Firefox plugins and restarted ofcourse, but still the same result. No tracking of the file, just a mentioning of the domain, which will always be the same of course.
I use the latest version of Firefox 4.0.1 so maybe a little tweek in Slimstats to make it work properly with Firefox.Thank you and regards, Ron
PS. Sorry for the long messages.

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] [Plugin: WP SlimStat] Some questions and PraiseSorry, but continued regarding the links.
I found your website and the how to regarding the links at the bottom.
Very sorry to say it is not working. I tried it on my downloads and also on links that go to other websites (it ignores the target”_blank” when adding your code).
Anyway in both cases nothing is tracked, but I do get a popup window when clicking on the links with only 1 button (OK) and a load of code with download path and Slimstat coding:
http://www.mydomain.com/files/wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/wp-slimstat-js.php?obd=www.getright.com&obr=/&ty=1&id=33&sid=7346ed78b899ccf3f116642d7b80d378&go=n
After clicking on the Ok button, download starts or the outside websites gets loaded (in the same tab, ignoring the blank as I mentioned.)To bad I could not register to your site and fill in a support, since registration is disabled??

In reply to: [CDN Sync Tool] Killed my site.I totally with Mezloh,
Do you have to be a specialist to get this all operational.
There should be a step by step instructions for something as important as this. Most people are just users and have no idea what the h… most thing mean. Take an example of Cloudfront guide, step by step instructions. I am sure I did that part right, but cache and cdn, we are simple folk no programmersHi, just woke up and re-installed the new version (it shows a version now), but I just can not get the post or page to expire.
It will just always keep showing up, no redirect to the give url. Maybe it is because I am in a different timezone and the plugins looks at another timezone then I am in (Thailand), but then the option first visit only should still work.
And again as soon as the post/page is published all selections are empty again, as if I never enabled the plugins for that post/page. Maybe it should work that way, don’t know. Just know that it is not working for me. Thank you for the offer to check my admin but I will have to decline thatThank you and regards, Ron
Of course I enabled the plugin for this post. Set the time and so.
But when trying the plugin and going back to the page to edit all the settings where empty again (maybe because the time expired, since I only set a few minutes ahead to check it).
But when I checked the page it was always still visible, even after the expire time. Also what I found very strange was that the plugin kept announcing there is an update. I have a numberless version and wants to update to version 0.0 (not a typo error), so updated and still wants to keep on updating. No idea why the plugin is version less. A first should be at least version 0.01 or somethingGot rid of the navigation buttons. Just delete every reference of them in the css and set the width of the images in css to 100% instead of auto. Adjusted the margins and padding. So now it is beautifully above my header over the full length.
