Same thing is happening to me. I just installed it and used the php code, not the widget and I get that there are no public twitter messages.
Seems like we’ve got quite a few people with the same issue.
I thought I read somewhere that the new versions will be using AJAX so that might be a possible cure to this issue but I’m not sure. Maybe someone else can explain further.
I agree on adding just a few images into a post/page. Possibly like a “teaser” part. The album part is okay, but it shows one image and is another step that I’d rather not go through.

I’m building a site and the dropdowns are behind the gallery images. I’ve tried to edit both z-index values but either I did that wrong or it is not the right fix.
