Ok, that’s what I was thinking. It’s still so strange that one site works perfectly in FF and the other doesn’t. I will try clearing the cache again.

    Thanks.

None of this works for me.

I logged in using Safari –I normally use Firefox– and low and behold the Visual Editor tab is present and functional.

This is obviously my interim solution because I have to be able to update my site, but how can the upgrade kind of work on Firefox (remember it works on my other site just fine) and completely work on Safari.

Are there any Word Press developers or members of the support team who track and address what is obviously a pretty common problem?

How is this resolved? I don’t see an solution here. Anyway, I tried all of the above with the Google plug-in and of course it didn’t work for me.

However, when I log in to Safari and try editing from there my visual editor tab is fully functional and present, but not in Firefox.

    What gives?

I am using Fetch, but I was just clarifying for myself. Anyway, I’ll play around. Thanks a lot.

So then, Esmi, I have to confess, I have no idea how I would do that. Bear with me…Is it that I just choose what I want to upload (I use Fetch) from the options given then choose “get” or “put” and then just dump them into the correct folder indicated in the instructions in my theme? Is it really that simple?

And thanks on the media uploader part of the question.

Thank you both. But just to make sure, you’re saying that I have to upload the images to the database that was installed on the server of my hosting company? Sorry if that’s what you’re saying and I’m making you repeat, this is all so new to me.

Ok, maybe this might make a little bit of sense after all.

Does this hold true for all images? I mean, if it’s post-related can I still use the media uploader?
