To clarify, I added the “get_post_meta” for an extra text box in the wp-admin’s new post page using the technique from this page:

Removing the AddThis plugin did fix the problem.
Just out of curiosity for my own future reference, do you (or anyone else) have any idea why that plugin would cause that problem?
