  • google doc embedder seems not to be working with ie9 64bit which was just released. I am not able to see the files on the link with ie9 but ff4 is fine.

Sorry I have not responded back to this. GTranslate is working with fine with WP 3.1 now. Thanks.

Bluehost.com helpdesk, my hosting company, figured out this problem. I had “hotlinking protection” on and it was not letting the WP installations on the subdomains work correctly, like the graphic icon buttons in the visual editor not showing up. When I disabled the “hotlinking protection” everything began working fine. What I also figured out on that same “hotlinking protection” page is that there is an option to “allow direct links.” I checked this box with the “hotlinking protection” enabled and it works. The buttons for the visual editor are not ok. Thanks all!

I have set up test directories and put manually installed 3.1 and I am getting the same results with the stripped down, basic download from WP. The visual edit buttons don’t have the graphic icons on them. It is happening on 4 different computers, Win 7 32 and 64 bit, and XP 32 bit. It is happening in FF 3.6, FF 4, Chrome, Safari and IE8. Thanks for suggestions, I still figure out what is happening. Meanwhile, one of my longstanding blogs is working fine with 3.1. That one has had upgrades internally. It seems there is a difference between the fresh install and the older install.

I am having the visual editor buttons blank out, on sub-domains. Main blogs is still ok. (bluehost is host) On FF, chrome, safari, ie8. Sometimes other graphics elements in the editor also disappearing. This is a new problem, it appears to be with 3.1. But clean reinstalls of earlier versions are doing the same now. It is a real problem.

I used both the automatic install from bluehost simple scripts, and also reinstalled manually by uploading with ftp. Same problem both ways. The graphics for the buttons do appear momentarily, but then disappear. Again, this is not happening on my active blog. ???
