In reply to: [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Description overlaps – unreadableWell, I got the font color fixed.. so now all I need to figure out is whether I can add text below each thumbnail that is a link to a specific page. Any thoughts on that?

In reply to: [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Description overlaps – unreadableThat worked nicely. Thank you. Now, can you tell me if there is a way to make the text in the lightbox darker and also is there a way to add a line of info below each thumbnail that links to the particular artist?
I don’t know why it isn’t loading properly so I can’t help there but here is a work-around.
Why not just add the code to the page where you want the gallery to display. It’s pretty simple code. On mine it looks like this
[nggallery id=9]
Try pasting this code into your page or post and change the number to reflect the actual number of the gallery you want to display. You don’t have to add it to the HTML editor… you can paste it right into the WYSIWYG editor. Sorry I can’t be more help.

In reply to: My Content Management – Can't get alphabetical filter to workI appreciate the link but will it work with pages and sub pages? If you’re familiar with “My Content Management” plugin you know it creates lists by also creating it’s own set of catagories. It then lets you create a list of items, in my case “artists” through the use of sub pages. I wouldn’t know how to apply the information you’ve pointed me to to apply this to this setup. I’ve tried some alphabetical list plugins too but they only apparently work for regular catagories and now what My Content Management creates. I think the only solution is to get it to work using MCM itself and it appears there is a way… I just can’t seem to make it work.

In reply to: Need help adding banner to sidebar in CutlineI’m not trying to make images that are readable, I am simply wanting to use small banners instead of text to create links in the sidebars of my blog. the code above is for the link and the text. I simply want to swap the word “WordPress” in the above example for a .gif banner that the reader can see and click on if he wants to follow the link.
the links you gave me seem far more complex and have something to do with being able to still “read” the text. I don’t care about that in this case. can we simplify the process a little here?

In reply to: basic image insert missing on 2.6Great… now can you tell me where to put those snippets of code?
It says to put them into the theme but that is an incredibly broad description considering how many pages there are on the “theme editor” page.
“Put this or something similar into your theme.”
thanks for the help so far

In reply to: Multiple Themes? At the bottom of your theme page, there is a link to get more templates.. You choose the ones you want, upload them to your site in the content/plugins folders and then the choices appear on your theme page.

In reply to: Want my blog to use my domaine.. ??just install the WP in the main root folder and not a sub folder. I did that and it works just fine. Of course, that means you won’t be using the URL for anything but your blog..
here is mine done that way
