In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] Menu not working after updateHey again,
Actually I just noticed that the button and container are being output twice in your code.
Are you calling the wp_footer() function twice?

In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] Menu not working after updateHey eli,
It seems all the javascript is working except to bring the menu out.
For example if I force the menu to show all the submenu javascript is working.
Do you have any javascript click overrides or anything that could conflict with this action in your theme and other plugins.
The best way to check is to deactive other plugins one by one until you find the conflicting one and also go back to the default theme and see if that fixes it then we know where else to look.

In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] MisleadingYou can see above that I tried but I didnt get a response… They left their comment and disappeared so were obviously never interested in having a discussion.

In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] MisleadingEvery pro option in the admin has a clearly marked Pro label as well as a hover overlay that explains its a pro feature.
If you can advise me how to make this more obvious I’m always open to plugin improvements.
In addition no pro options are required for it to function and neither are “half the options pro” – in addition we don’t portray being 100% free so I’m not sure I agree with the original review.
Either way its a moot point, it’s their opinion and can’t be taken away from them.

In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] MisleadingHey Robin,
Unfortunately I agree with you. I’ve given 3 years of my free time to this project along with countless support hours and 18 hour days sometimes for bug fixes, maintenance and upgrades but some people still want more.
It’s a shame but what can you do?
Thanks for your kind comments they are very much appreciated.

Hey deargeek,
Thanks for the input.
I’m interested to know of improvements I can make for people to know that this is the cause.
I have tried putting it in the FAQ section, Changelog, upgrade page, on my site etc. but it seems people are still missing it.
Any ideas?
Hey there,
Please read the FAQ tab and the other support questions, you have too low a version of PHP.
Please upgrade to PHP 5.4 or higher.

In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] Major 3.0.0 UpdateHi Ryan,
This is the first question on the FAQ tab on these pages, you are running outdated PHP and need to upgrade to at least 5.4.

Hey sbstarr,
I’m not sure if you used the CSS container selector for your styles before but that would’ve changed in the update so you may need to look at the style selectors and update those.
I will try and see if I can replicate the data: issue somehow but I am unable at the moment 🙁
Let me know if you need any further help!

Hi there,
I am able to update the options correctly, also I found the problem with why it is not showing.
You have an element called #masthead which has a z-index of 999999, as soon as I lowered this to below 9995 I could see the menu again.
You will need to do this in your theme custom css file to make it permanent.
Please let me know how you get on with that.

In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] Two branches for pluginHey dangson,
Unfortunately 2.8.9 will be the last version 2 release however any security patches will always be patched for that version and can be easily downloaded from the Developer tab on the plugin page so it will continue to be actively maintained.
Apologies, I thought I had done enough with plugin banners in the wordpress admin and notices on my site etc. to not upgrade if users are not on PHP 5.4 but I have tried to take more action by updating the Description, Changelog and FAQ sections to mention this so hopefully people won’t be caught out.
Unfortunately, there is no way in the WordPress repository to block Automatic updates if specific PHP or WordPress versions aren’t met – that would of been good on WordPress part to provide this but unfortunately it’s not possible.
I know it’s a tough change for some people but I tried to find any way around it that I could but it didn’t exist unfortunately.
There are always teething problems with new major releases and hopefully the problems will disappear over the coming weeks.
Apologies again and thanks for the appreciation of the plugin, it does mean alot!

zheitzel can you provide a URL so I can check why it is not triggering the menu action on click.
Hi guys,
The shortcode has changed as per the upgrade instructions on the page here:
https://responsive.menu/upgrading-from-version-2-to-version-3/
Please use [responsive_menu] from now on.
Apologies for the update but it is to make it more WordPress compliant.
