In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] Features removedHi designcat,
Single menu and header bar have never been free options – what version do you have where it said it was free?
I can confirm this by going through all the changelogs, past versions code etc. etc.
You can confirm this by rolling back to the old version – whereas you may have been able to enter values in there (which you shouldnt of been able to in any free version) these wouldnt have had any effect on your site.
I would urge you to take a second look – are you sure you didnt unknowingly have the pro version installed before and are you sure entering those settings in an old version were actually having an effect.
I can provide plenty of proof that header bar and single menu have always been pro features.
Im happy to look into this with you as Im very confused as to how you could even enter these details in before in any version (which version are you upgrading from?)
All the best

In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] Features removedHi designcat,
This is completely untrue – please provide me an example of a free feature that is now pro?
I made an absolute point of never doing this so it is a shame you have rated one star for something I made so much effort not to do.
Awaiting your reply…
Hi Jurgen,
I agree and disagree with you on this. I agree it would be more user friendly to have it run on the front end to avoid these issues but at the same time it is a one-off process so not something that needs to run all the time.
Adding this check to the front end will add in another un-necessary database call to the front end of peoples sites on every single page load (as it needs to check the current plugin version against the one in the database) which is beyond ideal.
Ill have a think and see if there is any common middleground on this but I would also quickly say that blindly updating plugins without checking their results is also not a good way to go about updating things and goes against most web development best practices.
All the best
Hey Jurgen,
Ok yes that makes sense as the plugin needs to update itself. Currently this is only done via the admin as I dont like things like that to be run on the front end as it will effect peoples site page loads.
You dont need to hit Update Options but you do need to be in the admin like you said for it to update itself.

In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] Admin panel does not loadHey dangson,
Great news and thanks for letting me know.
All the best
Hi KTS,
If you don’t want this to happen then you can simply override this in your own custom stylesheets.
Please remember that the plugin provides base styling but anything can be overriden in your own styles if desired.

Hi Jurgen,
Do you have any caching plugins installed in WordPress? Ive only seen this when they are installed and means you will need to refresh your WordPress cache.
Please let me know if that is the cause.
All the best
Hey Sorin,
Thanks very much for your purchase, it is very much appreciated!
Please do email me if you have any questions regarding the Pro version.
Thanks again!
Hi there,
Under Initial Settings tab called Breakpoint.
I would advise you to go through our Documentation pages as all options are covered there and should answer any initial questions you may have.
All the best

In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] Admin panel does not loadCan you see what value you have for “RMVer” in the wp_options table and set it back to 3.0.6 to force the plugin to upgrade itself to 3.0.7?
Let me know if that helps
Hi there,
The database value should have updated itself after you refreshed the admin page.
Can you look again now and tell me what version number you have for the RMVer option now?
All the best
Haha nant,
Great you got it working and good luck going ahead!
Hi there,
Sorry im not sure I understand what the request is – please can you provide a URL and explain further?
All the best
Hey there
It should have updated to 3.0.7 now – I dont know why it didnt auto update the options when you upgraded – all my dev sites worked but Ill see if I can find an issue
