In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] Strange things happeningHey there,
I honestly cant think of any reason my end except a conflict with your theme or plugins somewhere. The things KTS mentioned above suggests there are issues with your theme and maybe its just that my plugin is highliting them rather than causing them.
Like I said I have no problems on any of my sites with this om Chrome and have never heard of this issue from anyone else on here so although turning my plugin off may fix it, it doesnt necessarily mean its the cause.
For example if you switch to the base WordPress theme do you still have the issues? This will be a good indicator.

In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] 3.0.7 update broke stylesHi there,
Have you logged into the dashboard of each of them if not it sounds like the plugin needs to update itself.
Make sure you have cleared any caches too.
All the best
Hi KTS,
Yes those are the placeholder CSS prefixes I use in the plugin, you can find the exact definitions in the Mappers, Menu file if you want to overwrite them in your own CSS.
However I will add the placeholder text colour as an option in the next update – I was just trying to make the search box more customisable for people but evidently not enough!
If I never changed previous behaviour or functionality Id still be stuck where I was two years ago with about 5 options, that would be way worse Im sure!
Will get on it tonight.
Hey again,
There is no way that you need a new stylesheet – CSS works on a points system (10 pts for an ID, 1pt for a class) so just add an extra ID or class name to the selection rule and it will overwrite my style no matter where you declare the style on the page.
Hope that helps.

In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] Strange things happeningHey there,
Seems like my plugin and your setup don’t like eachother much! 🙁
I don’t really know what to suggest, maybe look through the web console and see if there are any javascript issues?
I am unable to replicate this on any of my sites so it is something specific to your theme which is why its difficult for me to say without seeing it first hand.
Hi KTS,
Can you explain why it is un-necessary.
Unfortunately when you create a plugin for half a million people you quickly realise you can’t keep everyone happy 🙁
Some want the placeholder coloured too and some don’t unfortunately – I will add an option into the next version for the placeholder text colour too as I hadn’t realised people would find issue with it…

In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] Features removedHey designcat,
Do you have any update on this as Im keen to find out how you were able to use Pro settings in a free version?
All the best
If you want to hold off updating your other sites until tonight I can give you the beta version to test if youd like to see if it fixes the issue?
All the best
Hi Jurgen,
Unfortunately not – there is an activation action fired by WordPress but this doesn’t get called on upgrades – only on initial activation unfortunately 🙁
However, I have played with a few things and think I have a solution that will fire on the front end but wont be resource intensive.
It is on the beta branch at the moment but will test it thoroughly and hopefully will be pushed with the next release.
Thanks for the idea!

In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] Features removedHey again,
Please see the changelog on the below URL:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/responsive-menu/changelog/
If you find version 2.8 this is when it went Pro and says the following:
2.8 (26th July 2015)
Launched Pro Version 1.0 with:
Ability to use as the only menu on the site (responsive and desktop)
Option to only show on mobile using wp_is_mobile()
Various colour themes
Header bar creator
Menu Auto-Height option
Background scrolling disabled optionAs you can see the Pro version had single menu and header bar support, these were never free and this is from a year ago.
Im more confused how you were using pro features on a free version?
Please can you advise further?
Thanks
