In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] 5 stars, however…P.S – you can still continue to use the older version of this plugin on systems below PHP 5.4. You can simply download it from the Developers tab on the main plugin page if needed.

In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] 5 stars, however…Hey gregor,
Thanks for the 5 star review even though you are unable to use it.
I see your point about the WordPress PHP version but unfortunately PHP 5.3 is so old, insecure and outdated now that I couldnt make the plugin as good as it could be without using newer PHP features.
I made sure only to follow the PHP guidance itself in that versions below PHP 5.5 are no longer supported by PHP themselves so it is recommended to be on at least 5.5 now.
Hopefully you can have a word with your hosts and get them to upgrade their infrastructure for better security and peace of mind along with the speed improvements etc. that you get with newer versions.
Again, I appreciate the 5 stars even though it didnt work out for you!

In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] Auto expand current sub menusHey abernathy,
It should still work, it works on my site at responsive.menu correctly.
Can you provide a site URL and give me steps to replicate so I can take a closer look?

In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] Auto expand current sub menusHi abernathy,
Can you explain what you mean exactly with some examples of where it is not working and steps to replicate as I can’t really do much based on the vague description I’m afraid.
All the best
Hey Rick,
In future please open a new support request for your issue as this ticket is now closed.
However as its a simple fix I will answer here, please add the following to the CSS of Menu to Hide option:
.site-header .site-navigation.main-small-navigation
All the best

In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] Go to menu pluginAll I will say is I have provided thousands of hours of my free time to help people and I will continue to do so.
Everything you have been offered has been for free from hard working individuals so please have some respect for their work.
Also please look into good development techniques as blindly updating plugins on a production server is one of the number one not to dos if you are serious in this field.
I hope you can find the time to forgive one minor mistake in 3 years of development that was patched within a couple of hours.
All the best
Hey Jurgen,

If you need anything else in future please let me know!

Hey there,
Using the shortcode and setting the button to relative positioning will do this for you.
Check out Technical > Shortcode and Button tab for the positioning and then you can read the doc pages about how to use the shortcode.
Hope it helps!

In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] Uninstall / ReinstallHey Andy,
You are more than welcome, as you said hopefully it will help others in future!
It is better practise to have to echo the shortcode as in the new example as that way you can save the output to a variable to display or edit etc. for later use.
Hope you enjoy it!

In reply to: [Responsive Menu - Create Mobile-Friendly Menu] Uninstall / ReinstallHey Andy,
You also need to remove the “RMVer” option from the wp_options table as this determines whether you have version 3 installed or not.
Let me know if that still doesnt work.
All the best
You’re welcome!
