It turns out that the listing status is not updated in the database. As a result, none of the categories are being shown as the category with no listing is set to hide at Directory Iistings>Settings> Category and Locations. Every theme has several features and designs which make the theme unique. Therefore there are few designs and features that directorist themes provide uniquely. Please note that all the functionalities are available at the core plugin and you can use any of the themes to achieve these functionalities. However, to achieve specific theme designs and features you might need to install that specific theme. This is normal for any of the products in the market.
About the updates, there are plenty of changes coming in version 8 and as a result, version 8 is being taken some time to be released. The most vital change that is coming in version 8 is that we are bringing a general theme that will contain all the features and designs of all the premium themes so that users can get any of the designs at any part of the site to get their desired design. As the change is vital, this is why version 8 is taking longer to release.
In regards to your observations on reviews, I want to assure you that all our 5-star reviews are authentic, and we do not engage in any practices involving fake reviews. Honest feedback from our users is highly valued, and our goal is to provide a reliable and transparent experience for everyone.
