Thank you very much for the suggestions, Paula! I have no idea what is going on. lol I got a new API key as you suggested. It made no difference for a while, but as I was playing with some Slickr options to try to see what was happening on a new shortcode line in the same post, all of a sudden the old one started working popping up a slideshow. Very weird. It doesn’t seem to make any difference which API key I use. Still testing further on the Slickr options. πŸ™‚

Thanks sguthrie for the thought. Yep, my original setup had wordpress nested one level deeper than I should have done. My link is actually correct for me. I was afraid that could be my problem so I am relieved it was much simpler! πŸ™‚

Geesh, talk about feeling dumb. I went back yet again thinking I’ll try deleting the ending slash just to see if it made a difference and there was a damn space after the slash. Removed the space and the grant access worked perfectly. Sorry for my error! And thank you for the great plugin!!

I may be able to solve your problem sguthrie but not my own. I am having the same problem with not being able to grant access. My api key and secret are definitely correct, checked multiple times. My flickr ID is correct I believe since I used idgettr and have used that result elsewhere. When I click grant access, I get a 404 not found. The url it is attempting to find is http://mysite.com/wp/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=afg_gallery_auth . Any ideas or help please?

sguthrie: In your AFG Settings, beside the Flickr user ID, it says to get it from here where “here” is a link to idgettr. Open that page and in the box paste the url from your flickr photostream main page. You should be entering something that looks like https://www.flickr.com/photos/yourname/ Hope that helps you at least. πŸ™‚

Didn’t think I was giving you much to go on in the first post. πŸ™‚

Activated the debugging, and then activated the recipe plugin. It broke the admin pages as expected but I did get a 3 line error log as follows

[19-Feb-2014 19:15:31 UTC] PHP Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/kowchicp/public_html/wp/wp-content/themes/custom-community/functions.php on line 1184

Unfortunately, none of this means a thing to me. Does this help?

(I didn’t try the htaccess bit in your link, but happy to do that as well if you’d like)

    Thank you!

The counter seems to work but the like notification does not show up at Facebook. Post to Facebook also does not show up at Facebook.

I did find one new piece of information. When I click Like, I get the popup with excerpt to “Post to Facebook” There is an area in the popup to write something. If I write “test” in there and then post it to Facebook, a notification appears that I liked “test” but no indication what website “test” came from.

    Hope that helps a little?

Thank you very much! Those worked great. I tried installing one of the custom css plugins which didn’t work, but in the process of looking around and wondering why, I found that the Custom Community theme has a css tab in its’ settings. When I put your 2 pieces in there, they worked perfectly. I will keep an eye next update, but hoping that since they actually have a place for it, it may get carried forward through an update.
Thank you for the kind comments as well. Quick question: Is there a way for me to put a comment reminder type of line before each of those code snippets for my memory or lack thereof? πŸ™‚
Thank you again for the help.

Just getting started on it. πŸ™‚ I need to shrink the header picture of the farm, but as you can see the lower header menu is actually in the middle of the farm. I would like to get rid of the lower menu altogether, but when I specify blank in the menu choices, it still leaves it there.
