In reply to: [ProfileGrid – User Profiles, Groups and Communities] Forbidden changesHello @giscist,
Thank you for reaching out!
There are a few potential causes for this issue, and We’ll be happy to help guide you through some troubleshooting steps:
- Check File Permissions: Ensure that your file permissions are set correctly. WordPress files should generally have permissions of 644, and directories should be set to 755. You can change these via your hosting control panel or FTP client.
- .htaccess File: Sometimes, the
.htaccessfile can cause access issues. You can try renaming the.htaccessfile (e.g.,.htaccess_old) and then reloading your website. If that resolves the issue, you can regenerate a new.htaccessby going to Settings > Permalinks in the WordPress admin panel and clicking Save Changes. - Plugin Conflicts: A conflicting plugin could be causing the issue. Try disabling all your plugins except ProfileGrid temporarily to see if that resolves the issue. If it does, re-enable each plugin one by one to find the culprit.
If the issue still persists, please get in touch with us here.
Hello @roundalab,
Could you please check it after deactivating all other plugins on the site, except for ProfileGrid? Then check if the issue is still there.
In case the issue is resolved after deactivating all other plugins, you’ll have to find which plugin is conflicting with ProfileGrid and keep it deactivated. You can check this by activating the plugins one by one and recreating the issue in ProfileGrid with each activation.
If you still face issue, we will need more information to provide the best possible solution. Please get in touch with us directly using this form.

Hello @shipper,
Thank you for reaching out. It sounds like the issue you’re experiencing may be related to a conflict with the theme feature.
To prevent the screen from scrolling when a user clicks on a link, you can try the following:
- Check your theme settings: Some themes include built-in smooth scrolling features that can cause this behavior. Try temporarily switching to a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Twenty-Three) to see if the issue persists.
- Disable Smooth Scroll: If your theme has a smooth scroll feature, look for that option in the theme settings or the theme customizer and disable it. This might be what’s causing the page to scroll down when clicking the anchor links.
If you still face issues, please raise a ticket at our support portal here in order to allow us to assist you.
Hello @agitabensalem,
To set the duration of the membership or recurring payment for a group in ProfileGrid, you can use the ProfileGrid extension “WooCommerce Subscription Integration.” It automatically adds the user to the ProfileGrid group(s) when a WooCommerce subscription is purchased. Additionally, it automatically removes the user from the ProfileGrid group(s) when the subscription expires.
For more details on this extension, please visit the links: https://profilegrid.co/woocommerce-membership-subscription/

Hello @johnslack,
Could you please share the site health information from your site by navigating to ‘Tools >> Site Health >> Info’ in the dashboard? Once there, click on ‘Copy site info to clipboard’ and share that with us.
Additionally, please provide the error log of your site so we can analyze the issue and assist you with a possible solution.
Hello @thonys,
Please make sure that you have enabled the option ‘Send Notification to Site Admin’ and configured the options under ‘ProfileGrid >> Global Settings >> Email Notifications’ in the dashboard. This will allow the email to be sent to the site admin upon new user registration.
If you still face the issue, please check after enabling SMTP and configuring the correct details.
The plugin does not send an email to the admin when users send messages.
If the issue still persists, please get in touch with us here.
Hello @k2joom,
Thank you for reaching out! Currently, there isn’t an option for users to select a category when creating a blog on the front end. However, we have noted your suggestion and will forward it to our development team for future consideration. If you have any other questions or need further clarification, feel free to ask!
Hello @thonys,
It seems the issue is specific to your site, where one of the existing plugins on the site may be conflicting with ProfileGrid. Could you please try deactivating all other plugins on the site, except for ProfileGrid, and check if the issue persists?
If the issue is resolved after deactivating all other plugins, you’ll need to identify the conflicting plugin by activating each plugin one by one and recreating the issue with ProfileGrid after each activation.
