    NextGEN Gallery by Photocrati
    No Page Comment
    Really Simple CAPTCHA
    Responsive Lightbox
    SB Child List
    Scroll Top
    Simple Social Buttons
    Social
    Social Media Widget by Acurax
    TinyMCE Advanced
    White Label CMS
    WP Smush
    Yoast SEO

snippet from apache status page though this time it didn’t stack hardly anything. but imagine this with 20 or 30 more admin-ajax.php and 10 or so plugins.php calls all in “W” status – sending data.

    Scoreboard Key:
"_" Waiting for Connection, "S" Starting up, "R" Reading Request,
"W" Sending Reply, "K" Keepalive (read), "D" DNS Lookup,
"C" Closing connection, "L" Logging, "G" Gracefully finishing,
"I" Idle cleanup of worker, "." Open slot with no current process

Srv	PID	Acc	M	CPU SS	Req	Conn	Child	Slot	Client	VHost	Request
    ...
    2-2	3728	0/15/3059	W 0.47	125	0	0.0	0.08	37.02 73.xx.xx.50	my-domain.com	GET /wp-admin/plugins.php HTTP/1.1

    4-2	6032	0/0/3321	W 0.63	123	0	0.0	0.00	65.62 73.xx.xx.50	my-domain.com	POST /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php HTTP/1.1

    8-2	355	0/119/2728	W 5.89	171	0	0.0	0.38	27.62 73.xx.xx.50	my-domain.com	GET /wp-admin/index.php?wpseo-redo-onpage=1 HTTP/1.1

    13-2	3893	0/77/2692	W 3.30	101	0	0.0	0.28	33.80 73.xx.xx.50	my-domain.com	GET /wp-admin/plugins.php HTTP/1.1

just as an example.. last time it was way worse.

well it does work off of wp-admin but not in the wp-admin page:
    browser test:
    {"is_indexable":false,"opq":null,"passes_juice_to":"http:\/\/www.my-domain.com","indexability_issues":{"canonical":["meta"]},"crawled_url":"www.my-domain.com","http_status_code":200}
but no clue why it times out / fails in wp-admin..
lynx from ssh cmd line fails due to it forcing https

the whole updated plugin is just fail.

    omg
just tried moving from wp-admin home to the plugins page while that fetch current status was (not) running (for well over 10 mins) and I noticed about 20 or 30 wp-admin ajax calls stacking up on top of each other – so bad I had to restart the webserver to clear them all..

This should not be happening and needs to duplicated and a fix addressed.

    What natscentral said.

Site feels sluggish now since update as well.. errors with various txt boxes and the like.. got a script error “updating posts to new algorithm” still don’t know if it’s completed..
Overall a bad update that just fixes what wasn’t broken IMO.

    Hi,

Yes i do have the WPMU DEV dashboard – I just deactivated it and \o/ yay no update notice 🙂

I thought as much and cloning widgets while helpful isn’t an optimum solution.. guess its copy/pasta each as i build the next new sidebar.

Thanks so much for your replies.

    Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply 🙂

I do know it does the WP gen’d images which is perfectly fine and is working as expected.

    Great!

As for pro, it is as I expected.. though that’s ok too. Thanks for clarifying that.

    It does indeed help.

You have a wonderful day and weekend.

    Hi,

I am well, thanks! I hope you are as well.

Ok i guess there isn’t any way around 3rd party links/calls at this time..

I smushed most of my images without issue but that 1MB limit is a bit low IMO (especially with modern .png’s) but meh, we can live with it for now..

I do have a question: If I enable pro and after a bit cancel or stop the subscription, do the pro features keep working?

I had a premium membership for a while back in 2011 or so when we got Membership 2 Pro IIRC.

Thanks for the reply and awesome products (and newsletter :p) It does indeed help.

Thanks for the reply and additional data @photocrati
I’ve changed my entry and hope this will help others who need this solution.

    Thank you!

Since copying the files is redundant (and wastes space) and moving the files breaks existing image links, I needed to find a solution..

After some deep and extensive searching (thanks google) I was able to locate a fix..

    add: define('NGG_IMPORT_ROOT', dirname(__FILE__) . '/'); where ‘/’ is your existing path in wp-config

so far it seems to solve my issue.. unless someone has something better to add.

Also looking for a solution to this home page title thing.. so if you have your site set to show latest posts as the homepage, how do you configure the seo title / desc in the seo settings homepage tab?

    currently its set to:
    title: %%sitename%% %%sep%% %%page%%
    meta desc: %%sitedesc%%

now viewing the homepage the title only shows sitename | and nothing else (i.e. no “home” or other user/seo friendly title for the home page)

    Thanks 🙂

Well I can’t even get it to save basic settings, including disabling minify.

I’m at a loss as to what to do next, any suggestions?

    Thread Starter PPNSteve

    (@ppnsteve)

URL of the site I’m trying to get this enabled for is http://www.sphenterprizes.com/.
Don’t know how seeing the site can determine why minify (and this plugin in general) isn’t working.

    (@ppnsteve)

I went and rebuilt the index.. and will be waiting for google to reindex and see what happens.

we only submit the sitemap.xml (index) and sitemap-news.xml to google webmaster tools so it should be fine now.

a quick validation check of a random file from 2013 validates so its seems all good now.

    thanks so much 🙂
