The code provided appears to do what I requested for the header.

BUT…how do I combine it with the code I previously noted in my question.

I don’t understand how to do both.

Would the combination look like what is below or is there a better way?

At the top of the screen to the right of the word “Dashboard”, it says WordPress 4.9.7 is available! Please update now.

In the “At A Glance” box it says WordPress 4.9.6 is running Twenty Twelve theme…with the button to Upgrade to 4.9.7.

Regardless of whether I click on the top “Upgrade” or the “Upgrade” in the At A Glance, I get an announcement that says “Welcome to WordPress 4.9.6….but the announcement mentions the problems and bugs fixed in 4.9.7.

Lastly, I am receiving a note every few days from the server saying WordPress was upgraded to 4.9.7 automatically.

All very confusinng.

I don’t know how to do that.

Where do I look?

I am a bit confused about your recommendation to select “Invisible Captcha”. Does that mean the checkbox would not appear on the form?

I have no idea what happened, but it appears that changing the server settings for outgoing email (SMTP) fixed all of the problems…including with NextGen.

Thanks for the offer to help. I think I’ll stick with the current version.
