In reply to: Registration email (password) not sendingHAve you checked to see if it’s ONE ISP having the problem?
I’m at 2.3.1
I”m having exactly this problem but ONLY with those using SBC Global.
My guess is that SBC dosen’t like something in the return FROM address. Mine happens to have a hyphen: domain-name.com
I’ve had other issues with SBC users outside of the Blogosphere so I’m not surprized.
Still waiting for a response myself (and experimenting in the meantime) I think I need to change the FROM address in the return email but not sure where to do that.

In reply to: Registration email not coming through. This is definately an issue with SBC Global.
None of my SBC users receive their passwords back – confirmed. All other users are fine.
My Host says that they have no other SBC reported email issues.
The FROM field in the return email looks like this:
domain-name.com
unfortunately there is a hyphen in my domain name.
Either the hyphen or the fact that it’s a domain name may be screwing up SBC. I’d like to change this to say anything but xxx.com
I changed a line in plugable.php but that didn’t do it.
Any ideas where I can change this?

Intersting – and I’ll try it.

In reply to: General optionsAny way to do this without myPHPAdmin?
Help!
I did the same stupid thing (changed addr in both fields)and now cannot get into the blog at all – It’s down.
I am not a server admin and it scares me to attempt to install this software. I have been able to muddle through MySqlAdmin a litte but it dosen’t seem to be able to get at the fields I need to edit.
Any other way around this. The blog has been up for a while and has had more activity than I’d care to loose.
Any ideas?
Thanks

In reply to: Data Base errorThanks for the response
I changed the table name. Seems to work better if I leave the first two characters “wp” and add my designators after.
e.g. wpxx-
