In reply to: [Quotes Collection] How to remove "–" from .attribution?I’ve solved this using the solution for hide Text nodes found here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/15196630/hide-text-node-in-element-but-not-children
In this case making the .attribute collapse and then its child <cite> visible.

In reply to: [Edge Suite] Two Edge Animations on single page in WordPressHi,
Following the instructions above, I now have no difficulty in uploading and displaying animations. I’m using them in WordPress using there Avada theme. Before the upgrade it was possible to display two animations, responsively, on the same page but now only the last animation displays. The preloader for the first animation displays (sometimes?) but the animation never loads.
A separate issue is that responsive animations are now no longer contained by container divs, but initially display at full stage size. They are responsive but only in relation to screen size and not to any containing html.
For one full width animation per page, the current Edge Suite build is working, but for use in, for instance, 2/3 1/3 column layouts, it won’t work – for me at least.
I have seen someone using Javascript to apply a changing ratio setting, dependent on screen-size, to a container in a site using just html, but I think I already have enough conflicting scripts on my WordPress page to try this.
Forgive me. This is entirely my mistake. DNS propagation was not as complete as I had thought and I was, in fact, still editing the old WordPress installation on the old server! The new name server is now active and Duplicator is working as normal with the new storage path. Sorry for confusing the issue.
Thanks.
Hi,
I’m also have a similar problem. I’ve used Duplicator for some time without problem. I recently moved a site from an addon domain in my server space at UK2 to a new server at Vidahost.
The path to the site on UK2 was:
/home/mydomainname/public_html/clientdomainname
After the transfer to the new server the path to the site on Vidahost is:
/home/public_html/clientdomainname
but in Duplicator settings the storage full path is still showing:
/home/mydomainname/public_html/clientdomainname/wp-snapshots
When I scan to make a new package I’m getting large file warnings about files from the old server which are no longer on the new server.
I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling as well as using the cleanup tools but to no avail.
The only thing that was different with my install was that the databases on Vidahost are on their own server so I had to populate the host field with an IP address as opposed to ‘localhost’. I also got a warning during the installation about files not being in the same directory but the installation then proceeded as normal with no final error messages.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

In reply to: [Edge Suite] Edge Suite not working after Edge Animate upgradeHi Sam53,
If you read pacweb’s post above you’ll see that there are two stages to a successful upload.
First thing, as part of your animation (within Edge Animate) you need to do the two steps that @philnicholl quoted above. 1) Setting a preloader and 2) Publishing the preload DOM.
The second thing, is that you need to be using the newest version of the plugin, ES5. And to reiterate Timm’s note, “DON’T EVEN TRY TO USE THIS IN PRODUCTION! ” so use with caution. You can get ES5 here:
https://github.com/ti2m/edge-suite-wp/tree/ea5Installing the latest version of Edge Suite, available via the link, is necessary as well as setting the preloaded and publishing the preload DOM.
Hope this helps.

In reply to: [Edge Suite] Edge Suite not working after Edge Animate upgradeHi PacWeb,
Thanks very much for the above. The new version fixed it. I am now able to upload both new and upgraded animations. I really appreciate the the time you and Timm have been putting in to solve this problem. Thanks again.

In reply to: [Edge Suite] Edge Suite not working after Edge Animate upgradeJust to add to the above. I’ve tried this with an upgraded animation as well as a new animation. I’ve tried uploading to two different installs of WordPress (one of them a new install with no plugins other than Edge Suite) on two different hosting services and I always get the ‘Unable to parse stage name’ error. I’ve tried changing the Edge Suite folder permissions but still no joy.

In reply to: [Edge Suite] Edge Suite not working after Edge Animate upgradeI’ve been following this thread and have just tried to upload a new animation. As suggested I have:
1) Add a preloader (wait cursor) to your Edge Animate animation.
2) Check the box for “Publish preload DOM as separate file” under Web Publish settings.I can see the oam file in the tmp directory but am getting an error message:
‘Unable to parse stage name from main edge file’
Is this related to the EA upgrade or a separate issue?
Thanks.
I contacted UK2 support and they increased the PHP timeout settings which solved the problem.
‘Thank you for contacting UK2 support. I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Duplicator plugin. I am happy to help. It looks like the script was timing out on our server before it could complete. We made some temporary adjustments to our server to see if we could correct this issue. Please try your script again and let us know if you have further issue or if it is now working. We await your reply.’
I’ve asked for the ‘temporary’ adjustments to be made permanent! 🙂
I really love the plugin. Using it with MAMP Pro makes developing and updating sites fast and secure.
Thanks very much for your help.

Hi,
I’m having the same problem as Mark; I’m also with UK2 and also got a ‘is your software up to date?’ ‘does Duplicator support PHP 3.2.6?’ reply.
Following Mark’s lead I tried to find any undeleted temp files and installed WP Clean Up. After optimising, my database is less than 300KB (this site is at a very early stage of development) and I have just two themes Avada and Avada Child installed. The total for the package is just over 50MB. I tried running Duplicator and got the same Internal Server error message. I then tried on another of my test sites, stripped out everything apart from the 2012 theme and Duplicator and got the same result for a package of just over 40MB.
I have been using Duplicator for a while with WordPress sites hosted on UK2 and haven’t had this problem before and have to say their support has usually been pretty good but there does seem to be a problem here.
I don’t have a WP back-up plugin installed as I’m using a UK2 premium back-up service. I’ve been through all files and there is nothing unusual. This is the server compatibility check:
SYS-100: File Permissions Pass
SYS-101: Reserved Files Pass
SYS-102: Zip Archive Enabled Pass
SYS-103: Safe Mode Off Pass
SYS-104: MySQL Support Pass
SYS-105: PHP Support Pass
SYSTEM CHECKS
Web Server: Apache Good
Open Base Dir: Off Good
Pre-Zip Overview: 44.9MB 1,275 Files, 118 Folders
Cached Data: Cache Directory Not FoundHere’s the server response:
AJAX Response Duplicator.Pack.Create
duration: 30.525 secs
code: 500

response:Any ideas? Am I missing something? Is it possibly one of those ‘it will be alright in the morning’ situations?
Many thanks,
Phil
