i’m not particularly technical & i’m trying to move a blog to a different folder on my domain.

i’ve got as far as deploying the install file but get the following error message :-

    server code: 500
    status: Internal Server Error
    response:
    Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [HIDDEN] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

cpanel error logs basically say that a 500 file refered to by the installer does not exist.

i’ve tried deleting .htaccess and wp-config.php in the new destination folder, and deleting entire contents of that folder except the installer and zip file, but keep getting the same error.

please could you help me fix this ?

  • I contacted UK2 support and they increased the PHP timeout settings which solved the problem.

‘Thank you for contacting UK2 support. I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Duplicator plugin. I am happy to help. It looks like the script was timing out on our server before it could complete. We made some temporary adjustments to our server to see if we could correct this issue. Please try your script again and let us know if you have further issue or if it is now working. We await your reply.’

I’ve asked for the ‘temporary’ adjustments to be made permanent! 🙂

I really love the plugin. Using it with MAMP Pro makes developing and updating sites fast and secure.

Thanks very much for your help.
