I’ve tried it in Chrome / IE6 / FF7 and it seems to behave the same. I do see the icons too when hovering over them (assuming they are all standard pale blue squares by default). I’ve tried it on a clean install on a different site and had the same result, although they were both with the same hosting company, so assuming similar config.
