In reply to: [User Role Editor] Can Not Edit PluginI think that’s a good idea. I thought there was a problem with your plugin because at times the features came up under the setting tab also and then it did not. That made it seem like there was an issue. works great when I go under the users tab. Love your plugin though.
Do you have any plans to make it also block buddypress posting in the future? That would be awesome. I mean so that you can block people from posting in the activity stream, members pages and on other buddypress pages. In case publishers wanted to make someone a true “Read Only” member. I love how your plugin can block wordpress core features.. wish you had one that did the same for buddypress. : )

In reply to: [User Role Editor] Can Not Edit PluginHi Viadimir,
Thank you for the quick response. That was an easy fix. I see now that It comes up if I go under the users tab.
It does work that way. However, Your plugin has a tab under both the “Settings” and under the “Users” tab. You may want to consider writing a fix for that, and remove it from coming up under the setting tab. When most users install a new plugin they first look for its features under the setting tab, if it is not showing up there they will start looking under the other feature tabs in the panel. The way your plugin comes up under the settings tab, I would think that it is suppose to be there and was corrupt. Most people would uninstall it thinking that it does not work properly. Your plugin is an awesome feature, and something as simple as this could make people not realize that and uninstall it.
I am planning to do a review of your plugin at http://www.portaltaxi.net and it will get a positive review, however that would be a negative point about the plugin. I just wanted to give you some feedback because I really like your product.

Thank you sir, that worked : )
I’m planing to start a new area on our site where we are going to review free wordpress plugins at http://www.portaltaxi.net/news
I think you’re able to read my email address. If you email me a list of your free plugins I will do a review on a couple of them, to say thanks for all the help.
Thanks again.
Jeffrey
Hi David.
Thanks for the info. I tried your code.. and it totally removes the ability to post video or photos all together. I still would like them to be able to embed photo and video from a url, I just do not want them to be able upload files. Is that possible?
Thanks,
JeffreyHi David,
Thanks for you quick reply.
I do not want the plugin to allow users to upload content (pic and video) at all on the site. I just want them to be able to embed from other sites.
Example: On your plugin if you click on a add a photo it opens and ask if you want to “upload a file” or “add image url”. I would like to remove the upload a file so they can only embed from other sites.
My site urls where I am using your plugin is at:
http://www.portaltaxi.net/music
http://www.portaltaxi.net/news
http://www.gaywebsource.com
http://www.gaywebsource.com/gaypress
http://www.gaywebsource.com/pittsburghThe reason I would like to turn this feature off is some times they are uploading media to groups that they might not be the owner of. There could be copyright issues with that and the way your plugin is set up it hard to monitor the uploaded files. They don’t get saved in the media library. You have to go into the activity area to look for them. Hard to monitor them that way. So I would like to turn that feature off.
Thanks for your help. I did not realize you had so many other plugin, I am going to be tied up over the next 3 days but plan to check them out more. I love what you guys are doing. I love this plugin also. I just would like to turn that part of it off. Most similar plugins for added media you can turn uploading on or off. You my want to consider that with your plugin also. : )
Thanks,

In reply to: [BuddyPress Docs] Error Message / Bug ReportI had the settings to permit uploading of attachments. I posted a coc it worked fine. I really do not want the users to be able to upload photo or video so I went back into the setting a set it so that you could not upload attachment. I went back and went though the steps to post a doc. When I hit save it did not post and said there was a issue saving the doc. I tried this a couple time and it did the same. I went back into the settings and allowed upload of attachments again and then I was able to post my doc. It then saved. I let the setting to allow uploads but I would like to turn it off.. but if I do then I can not save any docs created.
