If you mean by updating our plugin – then no, it shouldn’t affect the wp-includes files.
Will try to figure out why it is only working for new posts so…I guess I am semi-happy for now.Stay tuned,

We’re not 100% sure if this will work but would you please be so kind and go to your WordPress’s Dashboard, under the tab ‘Plugins’-‘Editor’, select our plugin to edit (in the top right corner), select the “search-everything/search-everything.php” file, then find & delete the following lines in your editor window:
// Disable Search-Everything, because posts_join is not working properly in WordPress-backend's Ajax functions //(for example in wp_link_query from compose screen (article search when inserting links)) if (basename( $_SERVER["SCRIPT_NAME"] ) == "admin-ajax.php") { return true; }Click on the “Update File” button, and do let us know how it goes. Unfortunately the theme is not free to use, so I can’t test this on my side, but to be completely honest we only improve the default WordPress search results and like you mentioned, your search results page is already fully theme formatted, so that could be the reason that our plugin isn’t working. Would you be so kind and double check this – try if it works with some other theme?Take care and have a nice day,

thanks for reaching out – yes, unfortuntely our plugin only improves search results through the default WordPress search widget. Where that widget is located – well, it usually depends on the theme but you can make some adjustments in the “Appearance”->”Widgets” tab.

sorry for not replying sooner – I have checked out that widgets.php file content and I believe that changing the line 1424 from !== to === and also the line 1509 from !== to === will make that error go away. But please don’t forget to make the backups!
