In reply to: [WordPress Related Posts] Related posts not showing & increase spacingHey,
thanks for reaching out and sorry for the late reply – I have checked out your blog and noticed that in the style.css code (line 297) you have:
#wp_rp_first { display: none; }written, that should not be there. I believe if you remove that piece of code, those related posts should show up.
Let me know how it goes, take care and enjoy the day,

In reply to: [WordPress Related Posts] Blank page when I click throughHey,
thanks for reaching out and let me start by apologizing for the late reply!
Would you be so kind and give me a link to your blog so that I can take a closer look? But honestly that PageSpeed=noscript could be the issue, so try to disable that and see if it helps:

In reply to: [WordPress Related Posts] Thumbnails not using featured imageHey,
thanks for getting back to me and really sorry for the late reply. Would you be so kind and give me a link to your blog, so that I can take a closer look? Also, when you have set the custom size to 184×100, have you also added the CSS code in the “Custom CCS box” for that size?
Take care and have a lovely day,

In reply to: [Search Everything] "Search Everything" Widget not showing in Admin.Hey Byron,
thanks for reaching out! Our plugin only improves the default WP search, so after you install the plugin, you can make improved searches via the default WP search box. Where that box is located it depends on the WP theme. You can usually modify the location via “Widget” tab and move that “search” widget to wherever you wish to.
Let me know how it goes,

In reply to: [Related Posts by Sovrn] Plug-in causes site crashesHey,
thanks for reaching out! (Un)fortunately I can’t replicate the issue on my side so any additional information would help a lot. What is your WP version, a list of other plugins installed and also a link to your blog would be more than appreciated. Finally, if you don’t me asking, who warned you that this is a result of our caching issues and can we get some data on this, so that we can analyze it?
Looking forward to your reply,

In reply to: [Related Posts by Sovrn] Customizing the pluginHey,
thanks for getting back to me – I have checked out your blog and as far as I can tell, you have already figured it out on your own or am I missing something out? There are no spaces, hovering works, all that is missing are related posts on your home page…and I have noticed on other thread you do not have main.php. Do you have index.php or content.php files perhaps?
Take care and have a lovely day,

In reply to: [Related Posts by Sovrn] Featured Image Broken/DisappearedHey,
thanks for reaching out and sorry for not replying sooner. Would you be so kind and tell me your WP version, (y)our plugin version and also a list of your other plugins installed? (Un)fortunately this has never happened before and I can’t replicate this on my side so any additional information would help. Have you tried to uninstall the plugin? Have you installed any other plugin at that time? Also, a link to your blog would be appreciated.
Looking forward to your reply and sorry for the inconvenience,

In reply to: [Related Posts by Sovrn] Exclude a post from listHey,
a bit late but happy New Year to you too π
My bad, I was unclear in my previous post – you don’t need to remove the post itself, you can just edit which posts to show as related ones via the orange “Edit Related Posts” button. Check the screenshots:

2. editing

In reply to: [Related Posts by Sovrn] Generic images only with 'Pinterest' viewHey,
thanks for getting back to me!
Our plugin works in this order in finding the thumbnails: custom fields, featured image, first image in the post. So, if you are already using featured images then the Pinterest theme won’t fully work for you. Well, you can give it one more try with setting custom fields for images but that can be time consuming.Nonetheless, you can do that by:
going to your create-new-post page or β even better β in one of your previous already-published-posts. On the right top corner you should see the ‘Screen Options’ button; click on it for the drop-down menu to open. After that, tick the box next to ‘Custom Fields’.Now you should be able to see a new box below the editor called ‘Custom Fields’. Create a new custom field, name it (something like “My thumbnail”), enter the URL of the image you would like to use and finish with the click on the button “Add Custom Field”. Of course, don’t forget to save this draft, or publish the post when you’re ready.
After that, visit the settings of (y)our plugin and scroll down to the bottom. The option called “Use custom field for thumbnails” should now be available, tick the box next to it, and select the value you’ve set up before (if you used “My thumbnail”, select that one).
Now, the important thing is this: the value of the Custom Field stays the same for every new post, while the URL of the image (obviously) changes. In other words: the name of the Custom Field stays the same, images change. That’s because once you set up your settings in the plugin settings (when you choose which value our the Custom Field our plugin should use for the thumbnails), you won’t have to change it again in the future. This way you save yourself a lot of time.
Once you have set this up, you just add a Custom Field with every new post, set the image you want to use for the thumbnail, while the name stays the same.
Let me know how it goes, take care and enjoy the day,
Petra
