Customizing the plugin

    Hi there!

    I’m really glad that I found this plugin, thanks for providing!

    I’ve been playing around with it a bit and I managed to hide the titles of the posts. But right now there’s a big space underneath the thumbnail in which the title is supposed to be. If I hover over the thumbnail, the space underneath it also lights up. Do you happen to know how to get rid of the space?

    Also, there’s this blog (I happen to know that she uses your plugin!) and I would LOVE to recreate the look of her related posts! The blog is called http://www.carlycristman.com . You’ll notice that there’s no space around her thumbnails that turns a different color when you hover over. It’s just the thumbnail itself that lights up! I’d love to have that as well, do you know how to achieve this?

    And last but not least (sorry for all the questions!), how do I get the related posts to show up on my homepage? (Where all the new blog posts are previewed)

    I just figured it out!! I got the clean square thumbnails without titles or abundant space right now!

    But I’d still like to know how to create the hover effect in which the thumbnail turns lighter! 🙂 And how to get the related posts on my main page!

    I also figured out how to do the hover effect, but I’m still unsure how to add these related posts to the preview posts on the homepage!

    Also now that I got (almost) everything the way I want, the plugin skips the first thumbnail! It’s just a white empty space where the first thumbnail should be. The rest is fine! Here’s a screenshot: http://oi62.tinypic.com/2vsf8z5.jpg .. Notice how there’s a big open space before the first thumbnail? It happens to every post!

    thanks for reaching out and really sorry for this unintentional silent treatment!
    I have checked out that blog, but would you be so kind and give me a link to yours, so that I can take a closer look?
    Also if you can make a screenshot of (y)our plugin settings? For that homepage issue, you can take a look at this thread:

    Hi Petra,

    Thanks for the reply! My blog is http://www.nizzylikes.com
    As you can see, the first thumbnail doesn’t show on any post. When I enable the titles, the title of the first post does show up, just not the image. Also the fifth and sixth thumbnail don’t show up, not even when I add them myself (also no title).

    Hey,

    thanks for getting back to me – I have checked out your blog and as far as I can tell, you have already figured it out on your own or am I missing something out? There are no spaces, hovering works, all that is missing are related posts on your home page…and I have noticed on other thread you do not have main.php. Do you have index.php or content.php files perhaps?

    Oh you’re right! I used the WordPress Related Posts plugin instead, and that’s how I fixed the problem! 🙂
