Coincidentally I had this problem this morning; I realised I hadn’t got the ‘Anyone can register’ box ticked, so ticked it – and it still came up with that error, no matter how many times I refreshed etc.
Then, I wondered if User Reg knew about the setting when I created the form, so I re-saved it now I’d ticked the box – and it now works fine.
Might be worth a try?
Cheers

In reply to: [WooCommerce] ‘Out of stock’ not available with no product priceAaargh!
I spoke too soon! I was so pleased that tinkering with that customisation had worked that I failed to look a little further down the screen to notice that the ‘Out of stock’ message still wasn’t showing. Logical, really – that bit of code is presumably just to enable the price field to be empty, and won’t have any effect on the notification.
So – I’ve now amended that ‘Call for price’ to say ‘Sorry – out of stock at present’, which is pretty much what I was wanting to achieve (ie no price, plus out of stock message). I realise this doesn’t solve the problem, but as a workaround it’ll do me fine; if you want to look further into it, please feel free – but you’ve probably got better things to do!
Cheers

In reply to: [WooCommerce] ‘Out of stock’ not available with no product priceHi @stephjacq – my heart sank when I saw ‘This can be achieved with some customization’, as my skill set is decidedly limited. However, I added the code to my child theme’s functions.php, changed it to say ‘No price at present’ – and it worked like a charm. Brilliant.
My thanks to you and @mikejolley.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] ‘Out of stock’ not available with no product priceHi @stephjacq – thanks very much for your speedy reply. I’ve now tried changing those settings, and I still don’t get the out of stock notification, I’m afraid.
I’ve set the option for ‘Enable stock management’ in Woocommerce settings, and left ‘Out of stock threshold’ at 0. I tried leaving ‘Stock display format’ at ‘Always’, and changing it to ‘Never’.
On the product screen, I enabled ‘stock management at product level’, and set the level at 0; I then went back to just going for the ‘Out of stock’ option, without enabling ‘stock management at product level’.
I’m afraid I couldn’t find any combination of settings that allowed the ‘Out of stock’ notification while leaving the Price field blank.
Sorry!
Thanks again, @cavalierlife. I know about the inspector tool, & used it to try to find what the element was. When that failed, I turned to you. However, a quick look at your link showed me that I was looking at the wrong part of it – the ‘main’ window rather than the Filter styles one. So thank you for the pointer – I’ll work on that; I’m always happy to learn!
All the best
PeteYou’re being too kind; there was no code as the various things I tried would probably make you fall about laughing, so I didn’t want to put any on display.
The latest – which I know would obviously not give the bullets that
- would give, but would at least have had a noticeable effect if it’d worked, was
.esidebar body {font-size: 22px; font-weight: bold}As you can see, I’m just copying what you did for the heading h2, but attempting to have an effect on the ordinary paragraph text. What I’m trying to achieve is to make the list of post headings in the sidebar bullets a) because the widget heading is & b) just to make them stand out anyway.
Thanks for the css link; that’s the sort of thing I was looking at too
Apologies for the piecemeal fashion of these queries / requests – but I’d now like to be able to alter the body text format. Mainly to get a bulletized list, which I presume is
, but despite copying the formatting css for the heading, I can’t get anything to affect the body. I realise this is down to my ignorance of css, but after 30 mins of rummaging on Google & trying different lines, I’m opting for the easy way out, & hoping I learn something at the same time.
Thanks
That does it – spot on.
Many thanks again
Pete
Certainly (I’m not going to say no, am I?!) It’s https://website1.therileyrmcentre.co.uk/latest/; please don’t be too harsh about the site – it’s a work in progress!
Ah, sorry, there’s a follow-up, which I hope you won’t mind if I include here. Now the text size for the widget headings is sensible, the over-large gap between the widgets is more obvious. I’ve looked around & found various custom css solutions for this, but none seem to have any effect.
Can you help?
ThanksWow.
What an incredibly clear & helpful answer, that solved my problem completely. The headings are in fact h3, but your method seems faultless.Thank you @cavalierlife! I’m off to Github to put in a feature request . . .

In reply to: [10WebSocial] Control buttons not working – can’t find ‘Reset cache’Except I’ve just refreshed the page to make sure I had the correct address – and it’s working perfectly!
How did you do that?!

In reply to: [10WebSocial] Control buttons not working – can’t find ‘Reset cache’Hi
Of course – it’s https://website1.therileyrmcentre.co.uk/my-instagram-feed/
Thanks for your quick reply
PeteThanks for the reply; not what I wanted to hear, but what I expected to hear!
Looks like a long job ahead of me – I assume you can’t do it via any other plugin either, & anyway I wanted to use yours.
Hi @leap13
Many thanks – that’s perfect; I knew it must be possible.
As for the second question – sorry, I thought I’d come back & edited my question to say I’d sorted it. I know you can turn off displaying meta info via your plugin, but once you click on a post preview, it takes you to the post itself where the meta info is still dsiplayed. However, I found the setting in my theme (Parabola) that allows you to do this.
All the best
