In reply to: Upgrading failedI got the exact same error, but I fixed it. I did this:
1) I uninstalled WP
2) I upgraded my hosting account (didn’t have much space left before I tried to upgrade WP)
3) Installed WP again
4) Upgraded WPThe space might have been irrelevant, or not… try uninstalling and reinstalling WP first… If it doesn’t work, check how much space you have left.

i am running the latest version of wordpress, and yes the plugins are uploaded correctly (I have used these same plugins on another wordpress installation on another server) and all was fine

I have been trying to activate some contact form plugins such as wp-contact, intouch, contact form ][ etc. Every time I try to activate them the pages go blank – both Admin pages and Blog pages. When i delete the plugin everything goes back to normal.
So I am trying to see if it is the firewall… any advice?

In reply to: Plug-in Activate Error: Site is blanki have the same problem. deleting the plugin fixes the problem. BUT I cannot activate ANY plugin. Every time the same thing happens. Even with the plugins that come by default.

i found a folder named “log” in my cpanel and it has all kinds of files inside but i am not sure what exactly ami supposed to do with that?

In reply to: Plugin Activation ProblemI have the same problem. I installed WordPress only recently. With prior installations it worked fine, but on this website whenever i upload a plugin and try to activate it, everything goes blank – the site, the admin, everything.
I tried several different plugins. When I delete the plugin from the server all goes to normal.
Anyone, help please??

In reply to: I deleted “WordPress URI” inside General Options page by mistake :~(Spemcerp, thanks so much for your quick help! I followed the instructions on that page very closely, it was easy – and thankfully, it brought back some of the website.
However, I can’t login to admin now – it gives me “Error: Incorrect password.” even though the login info is saved through my browser (so I know it is not my typo).
Also, the website looks very messed up – all the info is there but the template seems to be gone.
Did I miss anything?
