Thanks for properly explaining this issue to me. I think I understand better now and think the best and safest course of action is to contact each affiliate vendor I work with and perform some tests to ensure there are no issues as I appreciate safety is paramount as we continue to evolve the web!

This might be losing people a lot of commissions, I had wondered why my commissions have been down over the past few months and this may be a cause as my clicks are down by traffic and rankings up.

That still doesn’t work (I had actually tried that). If you see http://mazepress.com/calendar/ you will see the calendar where it is supposed to be, then scroll down and it outputs 4 more times (sort of) at the end of each of my hooks.
Any other way to limit to to output once? if output already don’t output again sort of check?
Thanks, appreciate your help. I have always really liked this events plugin but getting it to play nicely with this setup of Genesis + Beaver Builder & Beaver Tunnels is tricky.

Yes, well I took a backup with updraftplus, I have downloaded the database portion of that backup. I can’t upload files to this forum though. I have made some changes to the site since, updated pretty much everything, so really don’t want to fully restore. Is there anyway you can pull the necessary tables and data from my old database to merge into the new one?
The plugin was only out of date because it stopped updating / wouldn’t allow it to update. If a plugin is about to jump too many versions there should be a facility that checks version it is upgrading from and upgrading to, thus allowing for such issues. is that possible? Might be a nice fail safe.

I think I updated from either 2.2 or 2.3
I can see the categories there and tags and the number of events that “should” be in each but they aren’t there when I go to all events or the actual calendar on the front end.
Before this I had the update issue where it wasn’t found and it saw either 2.3.12 or 2.2.12 as the latest version to update TO not 2.5.14.
I followed the instructions on how to manually update that you provided and deleted the uninstall.php so I don’t see why this has happened.
Any ideas?

Yes I totally understand about the other dashboard controls however I was hoping to avoid having to use 2 plugins to control 1 admin area rather than just 1 that does it all? Can you not sniff for these other areas and show/hide by default? If it isn’t too difficult I think it would greatly improve the plugin and help avoid a repetitive dashboard. A lot of the things I might add to the custom welcome box in a nicer layout might be instead of the options further down.
Nice one on adding the additional option for hiding the dismiss option.
One other issue I noticed. On mine I see it makes the horizontal scrollbar show at the bottom, there is some surplus margin, padding or width pushing out the right hand side. If I hide the box then it goes away so it is definitely the welcome box. Can we use an overflow or another trick to prevent this?
I can send a screenshot if needed? Can you replicate?
