Great plugin. Really like it. I was however wondering. It would be really cool if the plugin settings also had check boxes to choose which active dashboard widgets you want to hide at the same time as adding this new section in. Also to have the option to prevent a user from being able to “dismiss” the custom box by accident.

    Hi @one3rdnerd,

Thanks for suggestions. This plugin is developed only to replace default welcome panel with custom Beaver Builder template. There are already some plugins available to manage other widgets.

Just released version 1.0.1 with settings to toggle “Dismiss” control 🙂

    Thanks!

    Hi Achal,

You are more than welcome. Good work and thinking on the plugin.

Yes I totally understand about the other dashboard controls however I was hoping to avoid having to use 2 plugins to control 1 admin area rather than just 1 that does it all? Can you not sniff for these other areas and show/hide by default? If it isn’t too difficult I think it would greatly improve the plugin and help avoid a repetitive dashboard. A lot of the things I might add to the custom welcome box in a nicer layout might be instead of the options further down.

Nice one on adding the additional option for hiding the dismiss option.

One other issue I noticed. On mine I see it makes the horizontal scrollbar show at the bottom, there is some surplus margin, padding or width pushing out the right hand side. If I hide the box then it goes away so it is definitely the welcome box. Can we use an overflow or another trick to prevent this?

I can send a screenshot if needed? Can you replicate?

    Thanks again! 🙂 Great work!

Hi Achal, any thoughts on my other comments?

    Thanks

    Hello @one3rdnerd

We haven’t really thought about integrating other features yet. But, we will definitely keep it on our list.

Regarding the horizontal scrollbar, did you check the width of the template that you are using?
We have tested it on our end, but, didn’t notice this kind of behavior. So, it looks like some extra padding/margin must be coming from the row/module.

    Thanks
