The plugin currently uses default package weight and sizes to calculate rates, but we’re working on an enhancement to calculate rates based on dimensions and weights of the items in the order – an updated version will be posted when the enhancement is complete. The plugin requires a zip code to generate UPS rates and complete orders unless the merchant has other WooCommerce shipping options active outside of the plugin.
