Thanks Jason your correct for subscriptions they would need paypal.
Joetez wondering how I could use the filters I use the cmdownload manager and need to restrict access to a url it creates.
Ok maybe there is some php code I can put in certain areas, i.e. downloads (using cm download manager) and then restrict its access or restrict url access
Hello this is not resolved and many people rely on this product, before purchasing pro. I was also using a Membership from WPMU they changed their version and it destroyed the protected also, and so I had to rewash the database and start over with a new membership plugin membership pro (free version) but I am still having trouble restricting. What would be the code?
This is paid support for a free plugin. The bad deal is without paying it there is no support. And you cannot see the level paid support gives you, been through this with another plugin, membership they changed the free version, which broke the installation, they won’t revert to figure out why it is not working and blame it on a theme conflict.
Jason, I tried your forum but it wants me to purchase the paid to get to any forum or help.
That’s not a funny joke to play and not a good impressionI would like help fixing the theme. Also users who use to have my other membership program say they cannot upgrade.
I set all users to their current level of membership, in each user account
I just deleted her user account and asked her to create a new one. Waiting to see if that fixes it, but not sure why it won’t let her purchase a plan.

hmm, somehow in wpmu member plugin i was able to do this,
ok can you give me some basic php code ? thanksreviewed
Ok i think i figured it out, in the settings of the membership tick the category you want them not to have access to, but the problem is, when you do that, the category listing page is blank there is no “this section is restricted to members” or anything. How can we fix this ?
also if i restrict a post, and that is the only post in the category, when you go to that category it shows a blank page http://thevoiceofchange.info/category/legal/attorneys/
is this fixed ? we use paypal express ?

i hope everyone that seriously thinks about updating to this version of the plugin, looks at the support this company is giving. i have a major site with problems. now using woo commerce to manually subscribe users and manually adding them. i am looking at a couple of other options.
i am testing https://wordpress.org/plugins/paid-memberships-pro/
on a new site now, looks promising and easier to set upi was hoping 6 days ago support would login to my site, or google search for the jquery problems and fix their new version.
it looks like we are ignored when it comes to fixing errors. they say “oh it works on default themes, then contact your theme provider” well hello
it worked on your previous version but-head! and you want me to pay money for to my theme developer to fix your problem you created on the new version? you are crazy!please please please dont upgrade or use a test site to upgrade before you switch, you could be left alone like me
now watch an apology comes, i am sorry i was busy, busy what dealing with another customer and avoiding this issue ?
come on get real

In reply to: [Membership 2] Please enter the same value again when signing upOk here is my my email [moderated] I give you back end access.
Yes but i disabled all plugins and still had the error. Like I said also that the previous version of membership worked fine,
I think if you check the jquery error you will find a solution to validating ,
or possibly look at your old version sign up code ? see the difference ?
