In reply to: [Oasis Workflow] Need to assign category to User GroupsYou might be able to use the Teams add on for the above requirements. The teams add on allows you to create teams. During “submit to workflow” you simply choose a team and the assignments go to respective members of the team that hold the given role from the workflow step. Also, with the “pro” version you can specify the types of posts and/or roles who can submit to the given workflow – https://www.oasisworkflow.com/oasis-workflow-pro-v2-2-and-teams-add-on-v1-1-released
See if the combination of above helps with your use case. Both the above are only available with the “pro” version though.

If not, you can simply update the article while it’s in your inbox and sign off only after all the changes have been made.

Essentially, it allows you to create Teams and put all the related members in one team.
When you submit to a workflow, you simply select the team you want to assign the work to and then the assignments flow to the respective users in the team which hold that role.
So, in your case, only the specific District Manager will be notified.
The caveat is that the “Teams” add on only works with the “Pro” version of Oasis Workflow plugin.

It will also send out an email on assignments and reminders.

Essentially, the last step of the workflow will be an assignment step with success step setting the status to “private”.

Here’s a thought…If a custom plugin can convert/create the submitted forms into a post/page with certain tags/categories, then, those posts/pages can be auto submitted into a workflow.
Will that be something that will work?
The only missing piece is to convert/create submitted forms into a post/page and assign it to a specific category and or tags, rest will be taken care by the Oasis Workflow plugin.

In reply to: Approval Workflow PluginHave you tried out Oasis Workflow plugin for your editorial workflow requirements? I’m the developer for Oasis Workflow plugin and I created the plugin with the intention to automate the editorial review workflow in wordpress.
The “Pro” version comes with a lot of neat features like multiple workflows, support for document revisions, teams etc, but I will let you explore the free version before jumping on to the “Pro” version.
