Hi, thanks for the details!
My plugin sends the email when the status changes the normal WooCommerce way (I tested this and it works). So on your site something is likely changing the status a different way and skipping it. A few quick questions:
- Is your old custom order status plugin (or any similar one) still active? If so, please deactivate it and test again.
- How does the order reach that status? Manually (open order, pick status, click Update), or automatically (a shipping app, automation, import, bulk action)?
- Please try changing the status by hand on the order page. Does that email arrive?
Let me know and I will get it sorted. Thanks!
Thank you very much, I’ve made all the changes you requested and released the new version 3.2.11 . If you notice anything missing, please let me know here. In the meantime, you need to download and install the new version from the plugin’s wp.org page because the update notification will appear after 24 hours.
Hi,
Thanks for the report. I ran a full test of the custom order status emails on my end and they send correctly on every path (admin status change, bulk actions, payment, REST API and cron), so the feature itself is working.
Since your email log shows nothing, the email was most likely never triggered. Two things to check:
- The email has to be switched on per status. Creating a custom status does not enable its email automatically. Go to WooCommerce → Settings → BrikPanel → Order statuses, find the status in the “Status change emails” card, turn its toggle On, make sure “Customer” is checked under “Send to”, and click Save changes. Then change an order to that status and check the inbox (including spam).
- Make sure your site can send email at all. If no email arrives, please also test a normal WooCommerce email (for example set an order to “Completed”). If that one does not arrive either, the issue is your server’s email delivery, not this feature, and an SMTP plugin will fix it.
Let me know how it goes and I will help further.
By the way, if you like the plugin, leaving a review would also be a huge help to me 🙏Thank you very much, I’ve made all the changes you requested and released the new version 3.2.7 . It would be easier for me to review these topics if you started a new thread.

Hi Lincoln,
Thanks a lot, and I’m glad the recent changes are working well for you 🙂
It’s a nice idea. For now it’s a bit outside the scope I want to keep BrikPanel focused on, so it’s not something I’ll add right away. That said, the automated notification side fits BrikMentor really well, so this is more likely to land there down the line than in the core plugin.
I’ll keep it in mind for the future. Really appreciate you taking the time to share it.

Hi Lincoln,
Thank you so much, support like yours is honestly what keeps this project moving 🙏
You guessed the architecture right: BrikMentor sends through our own managed infrastructure (a dedicated sending domain, with suppression and sender reputation handled on our side), and it is included in the subscription. So the Postmark problem you described is exactly what it solves. No SMTP setup per client, no strict-policy conflicts, abandoned cart, winback and campaign emails just work out of the box, with revenue attribution shown right on the dashboard. For that reason we won’t offer bring-your-own-SMTP, at least initially: owning delivery end to end is what lets me guarantee inboxing and keep the setup at zero.
On the agency side, noted, and yes: there will be an agency plan with per-site pricing that stays reasonable at client scale. Each client site gets its own isolated sending identity and its own revenue counter, and a central cross-client view is on the roadmap right after launch. Your message actually moved this up my priority list.
SMS/WhatsApp: on the long-term roadmap, but I want email to be genuinely excellent first. I’d rather ship one channel that provably makes stores money than three half-done ones.
One more thing: we’re starting a small pilot group before the public launch, and since you manage multiple stores you’d be an ideal early partner. The first month is just a symbolic $1. If you’d like to join, send me an email at info@brksoft.com and we can get 2-3 of your client stores in early and shape the agency plan around real feedback.
Thanks again for the kind words and the sharp suggestions 👏

Hi, thank you very much. I’ve added all of these to the roadmap and may include them in future updates.
Thank you for the kind words and the thoughtful suggestions!
Both of these are actually on the way, but they will arrive as part of BrikMentor, a companion focused on cart recovery and marketing automation (one-click coupon links, checkout opt-in with a discount, and sending that data onward to your marketing tools). Because they fit there naturally, I am keeping them out of the free plugin rather than duplicating the work.
BrikMentor is in final testing and should launch within a few weeks, so you will not have to wait long. Thanks again for the great feedback!
