Thanks for the update.
I have used an alternative solution for now. I’ll try to test it out with this plugin, and let you know if it works.Cheers ..
I have not tested the post based notifications. Those are not my requirements Jack.
I am positive that the info is beings saved correctly for the user since I can see it in the database, and also, the 2nd notification for new user registration is able to pick up all the values from the database correctly.Regards,
Nitin JainNope. This didn’t work for me either Jack.

Nitin JainHi Jack,
Thanks for your message.
If I deactivate my plugin, there would no extra fields, and there would be no issue, right ?
🙂The WP default functionality will take care of informing me about the basic details.
I am trying to get the plugin to work with some of the extra fields that I’ve put up on the form, so that I am notified of all the registration details of the new user via email.
I would deeply appreciate any pointers in the direction to sort this out.
Best Regards,
Nitin JainHi Jack,
Many Thanks for your message.
Yes, I have written a small custom plugin that adds quite a few personalized fields to the registration form, including the First name and Surname, which are standard fields.Should this be an issue ?
My observation is that all data is cleanly saved in the DB, and also, the user notification is able to pick up all the fields correctly. Is there something different in the way that Admin notifications are handled ?
Kindly advise.
Thanks & Regards,

Yes, so it seems Jack.
When fired through the frontend, it is working for “New User Registration – For User”
But, the same shortcode is not working when used for “New User Registration – For Admin” notification.Regards,
Nitin JainNo Admin email is sent when creating the user through WP Admin, I guess, Jack.
I tried adding these shortcodes to the User Email message, and to my surprise, the system “did” pick up the values correctly when creating the user through WP Admin.
Kindly advise.

Nitin JainHi Jack,
Thanks for your message.
I am developing the website on my local server running on WAMP Server, Apache / PHP / MySQL at the moment. The users are being created through the front end using the standard WordPress Register functionality. Every time a user registers, an email is triggered to the Admin informing about the details of the new user.
The other shortcodes are working fine in the email. There seems to be a specific issue with these 2 shortcodes that I have noticed –
[user_firstname]
[user_lastname]No, I am not using membership or profile builder plugins at the moment.
Thanks & Regards,
Nitin
