I’m closing due to lack of response.
This is fixed in the recently released 2.4.1 version
I’m assuming you’re talking about the series meta box found on the edit posts screen.
I tested that and am able to reproduce the bug. I’m close to another release so I’ll put a fix for this in the new release.
In the meantime. A workaround is to add a series via the “Manage Series” page (this is a submenu item in the Posts menu).
Thanks for reporting!
I also tried creating some test categories and assigning a couple of the series posts to different categories and still was unable to replicate your reported problem.
I’m not able to replicate.
I’m using version 2.4 of Organize Series
version 3.4.1 of WordPress
on a vanilla install (i.e. twenty eleven theme, no other plugins).
Here’s a screenshot -> https://skitch.com/drenobi/epaf3/series-screenshotI suspect you have another plugin that conflicts with the filter feature on the edit-posts screen.
Hi there,
No, Organize Series does not organize media files. It’s for assigning posts to series (i.e. with pt 1, pt2, pt 3 etc.)You might try NextGen gallery for media -> http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/nextgen-gallery/

In reply to: jQuery UI tabsJust thought I’d post in here because I came across this thread when looking elsewhere.
WordPress actually DOES include a lot of the default libraries with the latest version. You can find out more info at (which also includes instructions for how to enqueue the various libraries)
http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_enqueue_script
It will work – but it depends on what you expect Organize Series to do. Try it out and see if it does what you want.
Susanna, all the template functions are found in the
orgSeries-template-tags.phpfile and there’s inline docs for each of the template tags found in there.Hi stevedimmick,
The sidebar of the Post Edit page is contained within a max-height, scrollable div so you wouldn’t see the sidebar pushed everything down – you would be able to scroll to your different series.
…when trying to figure out the Free version, the documentation exists, but you have to pay $49 to get access to it – so not really Free in my book.
So would you suggest I just completely remove the free Organize Series Core from the WordPress repository altogether and just make it a paid plugin?
The $49/year not only get’s you access to the documentation but also to the private support forums where I’m active in answering inquiries from users.
The reason why I went this route is because proper documentation takes time to write AND I noticed that even when I HAD documentation available I would still get numerous support requests from people asking “How do I do this?”. I’m probably still priced too low at $49/yr but I it’s a way of providing support for non-developers who have specific questions about Organize Series.
Also, I am pretty good at answering pre-sale questions along the lines of, “Hey, I have a blog/site where I’ll have a lot of series, I’m concerned that Organize Series won’t be able to do “x” or “y” will it?”

In reply to: Organize Series bugI’ll try to take a look at this this weekend.

In reply to: Organize Series bugIf you updated WordPress in the last month you won’t be running WordPress 2.4 😉
Was it working as expected for you when you first started using Organize Series?
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: Organize Series bugHey,
Can you give some more details:
1. What version WP and Organize Series are you using?
2. Is this a fresh install of Organize Series or an upgrade from an earlier version? If an upgrade, what version did you upgrade from?
3. Is this just happening for you with scheduled posts? If you publish a post normally does the numbering work as expected? It sounds like a known issue that keeps popping up here and there (even after I think I squashed the bug)…answering the questions above will help narrow things down. Thanks!
That is weird.
hi there,
It sounds like you’re server might not be meeting one of the conditions required for Organize Series.
– WordPress 3.3+
– PHP5.2+
