Thank you leejosepho! clearing the browser history. cookies and cache worked. I did not have to use CCleaner. I don’t understand why this happens. Sounds like something I should do regularly. I was able to use the bookmarked link to the login.
For future reference — what do mean my “private tab”?
Also, not sure I understand the “address your browser sends out” — is this the same as the link to the wordpress log in or something else.

I am not getting the email backup even though it says successful backup and email sent. I see the folder as described in the above post, but how do I set the 750 permissions?
