I “resolved” this by install the Disqus plug-in for commenting. It requires a few extra minutes to set up the Disqus account. Make sure to check the “Output JavaScript in footer” box next to Comment Counts in Advanced Settings.

Anyway, the commenting issue still exists, but this is how I worked around it.
