In reply to: [BuddyPress Links] Plugin caused a conflict with iThemes BackupBuddyI think my custom cron schedule filter might have been causing this problem. I dropped that all together as it wasn’t really necessary, and I can just run things hourly. Hopefully this solves the problem.

In reply to: [BuddyPress Group-O-Matic] Too limitedYou are the first person to request (or complain about the lack of) field/rule chaining in the nearly one year since this plugin was first released. I generally only invest my time into functionality that is important to my own projects, or which is requested by many members of the community.
Advanced business rules would be awesome, but I don’t see enough demand for it to be worth the time required to make it happen.
Marking this topic resolved.

In reply to: [BuddyPress Links] Links PostLinks are not a custom post type. Links uses its own custom tables.
It actually does work within the base group. Something specific to your install might be causing an issue. You already have a topic on our support forums, so I am going to mark this one resolved.

In reply to: [BuddyPress Group-O-Matic] Not workingI need more info about the fields and matching rules that you have created to be able to help.

In reply to: [BuddyPress Group-O-Matic] Too limitedThere is not enough demand to take this plugin to the next level where fields are “chained” together to arrive at a match. Also, hooking into the profile fields form reduces the amount of required code by probably 500%
As far as more advanced matching, there is a pro version which add more complex matching options.
This could work right now if you created one incredibly massive select box which had all of the combinations in it. Having the double select would require custom code to support the hierarchy plugin.
@markpea Thanks for the kind words. I think the reason it doesn’t have a lot of downloads is that people don’t know they need this plugin until they see it! Its kind of like an tv infomercial… nobody sits around thinking they need Jammie Jeans until they see them, then its a *must have* π

In reply to: [BuddyPress Links] [Plugin: BuddyPress Links] Texts squashedThat is definitely a CSS/Layout issue that is being caused by the custom theme. Your developer will need to add some custom CSS in order to achieve seamless integration.
Some custom themes will require tweaking the Links templates. Glad you got it working.
I *just* fixed this with release 1.0.2. Please make sure you are on the latest version and test again.

In reply to: [BuddyPress Links] [Plugin: BuddyPress Links] Special characters in the urlJust release version 0.6.6 which I believe fixes this.
Please take a look at the pro version! Buying the pro version is the best way you can support the development of this plugin. You get some awesome additional features (like groups integration) and support to go along with it π
