In reply to: Vanilla/WP integration problem with single quotesI am bumping this topic because I really need some help here. I am not intimately involved with development of WP so knowing where to even start is almost impossible to know.

In reply to: Post via email – solution?no I do not have another POP3 server to use.
I’m just not familiar enough with the mail functions of PHP to give feedback on this intelligently. What kind of response is PHP expecting. Could you point me in the right direction? I’ll try to figure it out myself. I’ll talk to my hosting service. Though all the email that are sent from WP work.

In reply to: Post via email – solution?yeah I get what you mean but the host that I am using does not use the same domain name for the smtp server as for my site so my domain has to be in the username.

In reply to: User LevelsThe first thing that pops to mind is use server side authentication. The reason that I say this is that while WP does have password protected entries that can be to say the least tedious to do for every entry. So you need to password protect the directory that you have WP installed.
Depending on your Hosting Service server side authentication can be done by IIS and Apache.
So the question is what does your hosting service offer?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Post via email – solution?I hate to push this but… 😛

In reply to: Upgrade from 0.72 to 1.0Ok I am having this problem. I have not lost any post but they are not being shown. and looking at the structure of the new tables created and the old b2posts table, they are different. It id not upgrade that table.
ok I tried to upgrade but it did not recognise the old tables so it asked me to do an install. I did and then I tried the “upgrade.php” script. no difference…
is there anything in that script that I could manually use to do what I need?Forum: Fixing WordPress
