In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin β AddThis] Replacement for AddThisI think the key point here has been lost.
We are an agency who are AddThis Pro users and in desperate need of an alternative since the release of version 4 (having same issues as above users).
Does anyone have a decent more WordPress-focused alternative they’d like to share?

In reply to: Multisite Creating Too Many Database TablesEvery new site creation will create a number of tables in the database.
From the number 5700 it sounds as if you have almost 600 sites, is this correct?
If so, this is normal. If not, you may have a plugin installed which is adding extra tables to each install (if you have them set as Must Use for example).
The only real solution here is a new hosting provider that allows 1000s of data tables π

In reply to: mydomain,com/wp-admin/index-php error 404Hello π
You should try: mydomainname.com/wp-admin
or
However, ‘Under construction’ seems to point to the fact that you do not have the WP core files installed on your root.
also try:
yourdomain.com/wp-admin/install.php
To be 100% sure that WP is installed and not just uploaded sitting dormant π
Same issue here, everything seems to be working OK but the error persists.
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/-site-/development/staging.-site-.com/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/inc/wpseo-functions.php on line 407
I’m on latest version of WP and WPSEO, this is on my staging server which I run updates on before going live. As the other guys said, it only shows on sub-sites (blogs) not the main site (ID1).
Hey hperry,
No – sadly I moved on and am now using:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-table-reloaded/
Which I had used previously. Its a great plugin, you should give it a try.
The only downside is that tables are stored ‘away’ from content and you have to import them via shortcodes.
Just a quick update – did more digging and orderby=”menu_order ASC” still doesn’t appear to work in any of the examples I have.
This is with manual shortcoding or using the default option.
Sorry to be a pain π love the plugin!
Thanks Emmanuel π I knew I wasn’t crazy!
Hey Emmanuel,
I’ve tried this, no luck, and on a few different pages.
I have the ‘Do you want that auto shortcode options become the default options for the TinyMCE EG-Attachments Editor?’ option active in settings and here ORDER BY TITLE is selected on the dropdown. Does this matter?
Note that using the caption hack still works, but no matter what I do to change the menu_order, they are always ordered by title.
Actually, after playing around some more I got this error too:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/barnsley/development/development.barnsleyhospital.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-tabular/wp-tabular.php on line 70
Added a testing table with some figures in it to a page. All default settings.

In reply to: [Pancakes] [Plugin: Pancakes] More OptionsWhat about savoy pancakes? Does this support this feature?
That’s great, can you release it as PHP rather than a patch file?
Hey Kevin π
Thanks for the clarification. I was shocked that the queries almost doubled at times when using RS and my site was on its last legs so I thought there was a bigger problem afoot.
Anyhow, if these figures are normal that’s fine π I’ve spent the past week re-working my server and had to re-build my site from the bottom up and everything seems to be working normal now. I have yet to re-activate RS however.
I use RS on this site purely to give users access to sub-page sections of the site so they can add/edit and re-work a ‘section’ within the hierarch. I’ve only had max 4 users set up in this way and it has worked great so am planning to sort this back out now my site is healthy again.
In the end my problem was a little unique as my server had some major WP issues that had to be sorted out.
Anyway, I have a dev server set up now with the same site mirrored SO I can do some tests without taking my site down, phew :-p
Will feedback any findings.

In reply to: “Edit Permalink” option missing from “Page Edit” screen?Toiled with this over the weekend, I can’t seem to get it back.
Of course its not a huge problem as I can use the “Slug” to edit the same value. I just hate niggleing little bugs like this.
I now plan on re-installing so I will be in touch!

In reply to: “Edit Permalink” option missing from “Page Edit” screen?Yes, tried that. In fact, I modded the permalink structure to a few options, including the 4 defaults, just to see if anything would happen.
I disabled all of my plugins and it still didn’t appear. I then looked at 2 other WP 2.7 sites I run and they both have the Permalink option, this seems to be the only site effected yet I am stumped to work out how it is different as I upgraded it to 2.7 in the same way I did the other sites.

In reply to: Document Management Plugin?I’ve been after this for a while. The “Gallery” option does a similar thing with images so it makes sense to increase the functionality to documents such as PDF or Word files.
