In reply to: [Hueman] Shortcodes on Front Pagebdbrown,
It’s a custom shortcode I added, in relation to this thread:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/current-year-in-the-footerI installed another plugin called Shortcodes Anywhere and Everywhere, which solved this, but didn’t finish solving the other thread. We can close this one.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Shortcodes Anywhere or Everywhere] FooterThanks for the help! Alright, so here’s what happened. Made sure all the checkboxes were checked. This fixed the front page excerpt issue.
The footer still just shows the [c] and [y]. Maybe because this field is meant for just html, and I need to change my syntax somehow? It’s probably a theme issue. Or maybe Jetpack?
I will keep messing with it.

In reply to: [Shortcodes Anywhere or Everywhere] FooterThanks jonradio.
Maybe it’s the theme I’m using, Hueman. I’ve posted in their support forum as well to see if the front page cuts out shortcodes.
As for the footer, I’m trying to place it in the footer area copyright text field of the Customize interface, which is separate from the footer widgets.
Was this tested in the latest WordPress 4.5.2? There was some kind of shortcode syntax update at 4.4 I believe, maybe I just need to type it differently?

In reply to: [Shortcodes Anywhere or Everywhere] FooterApologies, this is both for the “Current Year and Copyright Shortcodes” plugin as well as the “Shortcodes Anywhere and Everywhere” plugin. I’m using both to hopefully put the current year in my footer.
Thanks so much for everything you do!
