In reply to: Portrait images rotate 90 deg when posted. Thanks to all, I think I have it cracked. Using the WordPress editor, if I edit the images (in the media library) in question by rotating one way (anyway it doesn’t matter) and save, then re-edit, rotating to the required orientation, save again, then replace the image in the blog/page with the edited one from the media library, all seems to work out correctly on the published page.
Seems bizarre but there it is a solution.

In reply to: Portrait images rotate 90 deg when posted. Thanks newtonentropy.
When in both gallery and edit modes (both edit images and edit page/blog) the images are the right way round, its only when the page/blog is updated/ published that the images show incorrectly.
It is becoming really frustrating.

Would it be reasonable to try and rotate the image to an incorrect orientation, then hope that when posted its re orientated correctly???
Seems bizarre at the very least

2nd Edit
Tried the above operation and guess what, it didn’t work, they stayed as they were edited (on their side), however, when re rotated back to the correct orientation during the reedit, they are now staying correctly orientated.

Thanks for the info, downloaded Irfanview and rearranged the images in my back up folders, deleted the old ones from the media gallery, uploaded the new ones and posted to http://www.briggsaway.co.uk/?p=291 as a start, unfortunately the images are still incorrect.
Any further ideas would be welcome
Cheers
