In reply to: [WP Cloudy] I know the open weather api is unreliable but would you consider…I’m curious if you’ve had any more progress with this caching issue. I’ve noticed on two seperate sites, with different weather locations, that the weather only changes if I update the weather options for that location. Just have to hit update and it refreshes. Otherwise it sticks on the same report as the last time I hit the update button.
It’s sad that this plugin has not been kept up, it is a brilliant tool that Automatic ought to incorporate into jetpack.

In reply to: [Royal PrettyPhoto] No overlay, loads video below footerI have also tested this with the 2015 theme from automatic that ships with wordpress, and it is broken with that theme as well.

In reply to: [Royal PrettyPhoto] No overlay, loads video below footerjust a note: reverting to version 1.0.2 completely fixes the issue… but the newest update is broken.

In reply to: [WP Cloudy] I know the open weather api is unreliable but would you consider…Hi,
I just tried this out.
Before turning the date on in the display tab, the weather output was stuck on sunday’s weather being the first item.
Then I turned the date on.
This caused the weather to update to begin with tomorrow’s weather, and it inserted the update date…
“Last update: Jan-1-1970, 00:00”

In reply to: [WP Cloudy] I know the open weather api is unreliable but would you consider…@rainbowgeek – I’ve kept up with the last couple of updates. the weather worked correctly the first few times I checked it, and now seems hung up on yesterday’s forecast for this week… I am wondering if this is now caching old weather due to the api’s slow performance or if there is another issue? it would be great if there were some way to determine, from the dashboard or in an html comment, if the displayed weather was realtime or cached info.
thanks

I noticed there was an update today.
I tried the update on one of my sites, and my forecast is now starting with tomorrow, instead of today.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Cloudy] Update time is offI sometimes have a similar problem, where it shows the weather for yesterday and the next 6 days, instead of starting on today. this is when getting weather for Nosara Costa Rica

In reply to: [YouTube SimpleGallery] Just broke – Shows Only First Videothe snippet hack works for now, but it still does not display fetched titles, instead throwing an error : https://youtube.com/devicesupport…
disabling fetch titles worked, but then there’s no titles.
it’s a shame this plugin hasn’t been updated in so long. what are the better alternatives?
I also got an error message that this plugin conflicts with WordPress SEO because they both create open graph injections. In the end, I had to disable this. SEO is a primary concern for most of my clients, and I was only using the plugin to add a small line of text to the header… I ended up just hard coding it into the theme’s header.php.
I should add, that I checked off the disable header and disable footer injection boxes for this page, and the header is still injected…. and the error still occurs.
bump
I guess there is no support for this plugin.
can anyone recommend a replacement?
would be great if this was addressed.
Well, I tried this on a dev server and the pop up works, although it is not a mirror of the actual site, and does not use the perfekto theme. That theme has not been modified since 2011, and does use an old version of jquery. You are likely right that it is the old jquery that is causing the issue, unfortunately that doesn’t explain why it worked 2 months ago but doesn’t work now… and it doesn’t make it easy to patch, since bringing the jquery up to date could cause a ton of other problems.
not sure what to do at this point, this client does not want to pay me for fixing this, and I’m not experienced enough with jquery to troubleshoot it further.
