Thanks so much for you help.

In reply to: Child Theme file disappeared! Poof.I have used your suggestions.
Sad to say, FTP did not show it as hidden.
Logged into my hosting account /twentyten/ is there but still no /twentyten-child/
Obviously, I realize it couldn’t run without it being somewhere.

In reply to: Child Theme file disappeared! Poof. And yes, I have also refreshed the connection several times for my Web Server via FTP. I even used another form of FTP to check the Web Server and the child directory is still missing.
I’m totally dumbfounded by the whole thing. As I said above I think it might be invisible, since it is running. But what the heck???????
Have any ideas about what I should do next?

In reply to: Child Theme file disappeared! Poof.Yes. The theme /twentyten-child/ is in the Dashboard/Appearances/Themes.
It is running, but, the folder directory / style.css / functions.php are missing from the /themes folder/ and are no longer seen on the Web server via the FTP.
The parent /twentyten/ is there in the /themes folder/
/twentyten-child/ itself is gone.
Not sure how the /twentyten-child/ is running when the folder and everything is gone from the /Themes/ folder.
I don’t think I want to write on the /style.css/functions.php/ in the Appearances Editor when the directory and the css and php are invisible.
This looks like a foreseeable problem to me if I start to use the CSS when there is no folder seen on the Web Server.

In reply to: Child Theme file disappeared! Poof.Oh one more thing, I don’t think I want to work on the Child Theme pages and styles when there is a problem with the folder (directory) disappearing do I? I’d hate to add everything and then lose that also.
