Hi gts,
If you are using a mega menu sub menu, you can add a widget to the sub menu that lists your categories automatically.
If you want to add them as actual menu items, you can try this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/jc-submenu/ (it is old but still works).

I haven’t seen that effect before, and I’m not sure how they’ve done it sorry. All I can say really is that it would require custom CSS (as it’s not a built in feature of our plugin) so you’d need to research how it it might be done in a generic way, then use custom CSS to apply it to the menu.

Do you have a flyout menu that goes off to the right of the screen? If so, open the mega menu settings for the parent menu item, and set the ‘Sub Menu Align’ option to ‘Right Edge of Parent’.

You’ll need to report this to WP Rocket. They have their own list of exclusions (they used to publish this on their website, but I can’t find it now), and it seems like they need to update it to make it compatible with MMM.
