In reply to: [Create] Either “image” or “video” should be specifiedHey there,
Great question! The “Either ‘image’ or ‘video’ should be specified” message in GSC is actually a really common warning from How-To Schema, you’re getting this because Google would like to see a video or image for each step in your instructions. You can get rid of the warning by adding those images or videos into the steps, if you have them.
Super important to keep in mind that errors and warnings in GSC are thankfully distinct, and while errors are emergent and in need of fixing, and warnings are more like suggestions! So you aren’t at all obligated to add in those images or videos, if you don’t wish to. If you’d like to read more about GSC errors and warnings, check out this blog post!

Hey there,
Thanks so much for sending this our way. Our team is already taking a look at this!
Right now, there is a way to turn off the animations within the toolkit. The setting is “Show icon animation.”
Hey there!
It looks like this is due to how your homepage is set up. If your homepage is an actual page, then you should be able to let the floating sidebar show up on that page (if pages is selected in the settings), but if it’s set to show the latest posts it won’t show up because all of those buttons are for sharing a specific post. Grow Social buttons will only show on static homepages. Hope this helps!
Hey there,
In a recent update of Grow Social, we made some changes where Grow will only run once if a content filter is found. This was done to prevent Grow from duplicating if content filters are used multiple times. It looks like that is what’s happening here.
Depending on how a theme or plugin is set up, it’s possible that Grow Social is being blocked from appearing because a specific filter is being used multiple times. We do have some planned fixes to address this in a future release that can handle these types of situations so keep an eye out for a future update. 🙂
Hey there,
It looks like you were noticing an issue that we’re working on for the next release of Grow Social Pro.
It sounds like you were able to get in touch with the team but do let us know by emailing grow@mediavine.com if you need anything else, we’re happy to take a look!
Hey there,
Within the settings for the floating sidebar, there are Post Type Display Settings. I would first make sure that “posts” is selected here. You are also able to toggle off specific toolkit items on each post within the post editor. That would be one of the next places to check!
Do you have a URL so that we can take a look? If you are running any optimization plugins, they could be optimizing Grow! We do have some instructions for excluding Grow from popular optimization plugins.
Here is a link to that help doc that walks you through the most popular plugins.
Thanks so much for reaching out about this.

That sounds pretty strange for sure! You are able to toggle off specific toolkit items on each post within the post editor. That would be one of the next places to check!
I also noticed that you are running SG optimizer and it could be optimizing Grow! We do have some instructions for excluding Grow from popular optimization plugins.
SG Optimizer is the third option down the page. Here is a link to that help doc!
Hey there,

Hey @jigsaw,
We hear your frustration. As a pro user, you’re entitled to our support team’s help via email – that allows us to dive in and help in exactly the manner you’re requesting, with custom CSS, or figuring out if there’s a theme or plugin conflict causing your issues or if it’s a bigger issue within Grow Social Pro. As there are no widespread reports of this issue, we must start by assuming there’s a conflict at the site level.
For that, we need to help you directly and are more than happy to do so. Please email grow@mediavine.com and we will jump in. The WP forum is meant for more general questions, as well as light support for users of the free version of the plugin.
We would love to help make this work for you. If you allow us to help you, we’re sure we can get it to a place where you’re thrilled with the plugin. But, if you decide you’d instead like a refund, we will of course refund you right away!
Hey jigsaw, it sounds like this is a CSS conflict with your theme.
The feature that you’re describing is available in the pro version of the plugin under the Sticky Bar toolkit item. You can learn more about Grow Social Pro on the marketplace here. Thanks so much!

Hey there,
Would you be able to reply here with the URL so that we can take a closer look? Thanks so much.
Hey ri0w0rx,
Thanks so much for reaching out to us and letting us know that this happened! If possible, do you have any warning or error messages that occurred when the site crashed? Additionally, any error logs you can provide will certainly help us narrow down what might have happened here.
If you have any of that information, please feel free to email it to us at grow@mediavine.com and we can have our engineers take a look.
