In reply to: [Meal Planner Pro Recipes] Affiliate Links Showing on Google Testing ToolIt’s not as easy of a fix as I first thought. The issue doesn’t affect your SEO in any way so wan’t our top priority. It’s purely a technical issue. It will take another week or so to correct.
Thanks for your patience.

In reply to: [Meal Planner Pro Recipes] Are recipies availble publiclyHello,
This is an option. In the plugin settings there is an option to post your recipes to the Meal Planner Pro recipe search engine. You can choose to share your recipes on Meal Planner Pro or not.
If you post recipes to our site then we don’t include your instructions. Our readers must always click a link back to your recipe page to view this info. This increases your traffic, pageviews, and revenue.
Our hope is that you would want to share your recipes with our readers as it’s a win win for everyone. It’s the same idea as Pinterest and Yummly in how it works.
Thanks

In reply to: [Meal Planner Pro Recipes] Meal Planner Pro update for Gutenberg editorYou don’t need a schema plugin. Our plugin handles all of the recipe schema for you.

In reply to: [Meal Planner Pro Recipes] Meal Planner Pro update for Gutenberg editorThanks. I’ll have a look and let you know.
It would be wise to install the “Classic Editor” plugin just as a backup. After WP releases v 5.0 Nov 27th the classic plugin will no longer be available.

In reply to: [Meal Planner Pro Recipes] Meal Planner Pro update for Gutenberg editorHello,
I’m not sure what you mean by archives? Can you please attach a screenshot of archive search listings vs. “image attached with a recipe”.
There should be no difference in how the plugin and recipe schema works with Gutenberg vs Classic so the screenshots will help to see any issue. i.e. – our plugin marks up the recipe info etc. the same as before.
Also, you can continue to use Classic Editor rather than Gutenberg Editor if you wish by installing the “Classic Editor” plugin. You’ll want to do this just in case you prefer using Classic rather than Gutenberg.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Meal Planner Pro Recipes] Affiliate Links Showing on Google Testing ToolYou’ll have to ask your sevice provider what the cause would be. There could be several reasons causing this. We’re a plugin developer which has no bearing on Server side issues.

In reply to: [Meal Planner Pro Recipes] Problem in google structure data testing toolRe: link issue
I’ve forwarded the linked ingredient issue in schema to dev team to fix. Shouldn’t be difficult to correct but may be middle of next week before we can get to it. It’s not a critical schema issue and will have no negative effect but should be corrected as you’ve outline.
Thanks for letting us know.

In reply to: [Meal Planner Pro Recipes] Problem in google structure data testing toolCreativeWork is not the proper schema to be using for a blog post. It should use BlogPosting schema.
CreativeWork is accessing our recipe shortcode and Recipe schema which it shouldn’t be. This is why you’re receiving CreativeWork schema errors.
GeneratePress is aware of the schema issues with CreativeWork and have been working on a solution. Here’s a link to their support tickets about this.

Here’s how Genesis theme handles removing CreativeWork schema and then creating proper schema.Their solution works great and all schema errors are removed after implementing.

In reply to: [Meal Planner Pro Recipes] 404 errors in search consoleI’m not sure what may be causing the issue or why just on one site. Just know that it’s not anything to do with our plugin.

In reply to: [Meal Planner Pro Recipes] 404 errors in search consoleDev has stated that 404 errors have nothing to do with the plugin. This is a server side issue. Please contact your service provide to diagnose issue.
The plugin doesn’t create urls that would produce a 404 error. Your WP post is what creates urls. If a post url cannot be found then it’s not being stored on your server.
The plugin is not the culprit.

In reply to: [Meal Planner Pro Recipes] Problem in google structure data testing toolYou must be using the Genesis Framework theme for your blog. The CreativeWork schema errors are a known issue with the Genesis post markup. It’s not an issue with our plugin.
There is an easy fix to remove these errors which we’ve done on behalf of some of our bloggers but you can do this yourself. It requires little or no technical experience to do. (takes 30-60 minutes)
I can forward you the fix received from the Genesis developer if you email us at support(at)mealplannerpro(dot)com. We could also do this for you if you prefer for a small cost.
