  • Please remove my post.i mixed up his issue with the one I’m having

Note to self:read sticky before opening big mouth. The new files for IE fixed the problem. At least now I can insert images and upload in IE. Too bad FF can’t work, yet but I don’t mind being uncool as long as I can get my work done. Can this be listed as resolved?
    Thanks Otto42!

Otto42…that caused a 500 error. Are you sure that this is correct?
Until I can get a fix I have come up with a stupid workaround for a password protected site.
I upload images in IE7 then I switch to FF and am able to insert the images. Can’t actually insert images into posts in IE7,though.But at least IE will upload them.
I know it isn’t WP 2.5 fault or because of any of that Apache hoo ha or PHP5 whiffle because I have 3 other installs on the same server but outside the protected directory and I can upload images just fine in FF or IE.
I tried every single one of the .htaccess tricks presented by a variety of members in a variety of threads, disabled all my plugins, turned permalinks back to default, can’t update Flash because I already have the most recent flash plugin installed…in short I tried everything. The only way I can upload in my preferred browser(FF) is if I turn off .htaccess and then turn it back on when I’m done uploading. But I can’t do that because someone could see the protected site while I am editing.
So that is my predicament. Switching back and forth from IE7 to FF –it’s clunky but it works for now.

The error log shows the problem is that asyncupload.php gets tacked on to the end of my login script resulting in a 404,naturally, because both files are in totally diff. directories.
Ok I will shut up now.

    jmalien: thank you!

If you want a quick and dirty fix for this problem, open wp-shopping-cart in your plugins folder, open /js and delete the content of thickbox.js. Then find thickbox.css and lightbox.css in /plugins/wp-shopping-cart/ and repeat, leaving the files on the server.I say leave them there in case you ever deactivate nextgen so you can just refill those files and you won’t forget what goes where if they remain where they are, just empty.
Wp-shopping-cart uses other javascript like jquery for the fancy effects like the sliding cart and etc but doesn’t need those 3 files for anything(as far as i can tell so far) except for the thumb lightbox effect.
Yet nextgen gallery really needs those 3 files or it’s whole deal is wiped out.
So I just let the scripts from the nextgen plugin provide the lightbox effect for both plugins.
This saved me loads of time and both plugins are 100% fine.

eshop looked very promising until I noticed that it kept recreating pages I did not need or want! I’d delete them and then they would re appear.I found this to be way out of control.I could just hide the pages from nav-header or sidebar.I just didn’t like this aspect.
Still waiting for that perfect, free ecommerce solution for WordPress, probably until hell freezes over.
No wonder when they’re for making money, not likely to be offered for free, but I don’t blame them for that.

Otto42! Great plugin. It’s exactly what I needed!

Doesn’t anyone know the answer to this error?
Surely someone knows what’s up with this! I’ve searched and searched for the way to fix this error but all I see are unaswered/unresolved questions related to this exact problem.
I’m getting this exact error message word for word in a totally up to date version of wordpress.

People were saying they couldn’t post comments so I said uh oh what is it now? I checked the error log and this was the same/similar error as the person above:
    ‘AND comment_approved = ‘1’ ORDER BY comment_date_gmt DESC LIMIT 10′ at line 1 for query SELECT wp_comments.* FROM wp_comments WHERE comment_post_ID = AND comment_approved = ‘1’ ORDER BY comment_date_gmt DESC LIMIT 10
with wp 2.3.3 but mysql 4 12 and not sure what php level…
I optimized the table because there was a message in phpadmin to do so.
If the error is being triggered by people posting comments how do I fix that?
After I checked the table there were 2 new error messages in the error log.So the problem isn’t fixed even though now you can post comments…I’m worried that 2 new comments will start the problem all over again.
There seems to be a size or memory issue because I deleted 2 spam comments and was able to post new comments either logged in as admin or logged out as guest.
I have no idea what those kinds of messages mean or how to fix them and I am afraid of mysql!
