I found out how to restore the pages based on my particular premium theme:
“in theme package you will find folder called XML in this folder you will find demo_content.xml ..
import this file from wordpress dashboard -> tools -> import -> wordpress
all pages will be back again”
Thank you.
mbThank you, JumboClicks. When I restore what pages I have left in the trash, is it better to mark them as drafts or private? How to best ensure the public can’t access them?
And would this work: Can I go activate the parent theme and view those old template pages whenever I wish, or would that somehow corrupt the pages of the child theme that I’m building? I believe that when I changed over to using the child theme, I left the old parent theme pages as published for public view and did not send them to the trash.
Would it also be wise to change the # of days when the trash auto empties to some huge number?
Best,
mbA fine, detailed explanation. Thank you so much, Robin.
Best,
mThanks, Robin W. I’ve trashed all the sample pages. Yes, much less clutter. I’m still curious about the draft vs. private status, though, for if there’s some page I think I might want to use soon and therefore want to leave in All Pages viewer. Appreciate your earlier reply.
