Thanks, I read that already. The form works and sends email, it just doesn’t redirect to the URL I entered.

I found the problem- it was a plug-in called Widget Logic Visual, which allows you to customize which widgets appear on different pages using the same template. Fortunately it turns out that I don’t really need it right now.

    Thanks for your help!

I haven’t tried that- I’m not a WP yogi like you πŸ™‚ and I don’t want to screw up a production site.

I know deactivating all widgets will only cause reversible changes to the site. My main concern is switching themes, because widgets locations and configs used to get completely screwed up when a theme was changed. Is that still the case?

Last time I tried upgrading to 3.6 I had an issue with redirects that I couldn’t resolve and I had to do a complete restore. So I’m skittish on that.

No, no answer. I actually did try that a long time ago and never found anything. I also searched through files.

The only positive thing is that although Network Publisher insists that the configured domain is the original one, actual posts to Facebook or whatever say they’re sourced from the proper domain. So this is more an inconvenience than a show-stopper.

But man, I can’t imagine paying these guys for more features when they can’t even be bothered to respond to a ticket properly opened.

    I did, 3 months ago.

One thing I did notice with Theme Switcher is that the widget areas seem to get reset- Including the one where I put Theme Switcher! So when I changed to a different theme, I had to reinstall Theme Switcher in a widget area in order to change back! And then put back what the web site had before I started.

What I’m really looking for at this point is a way to customize a new theme and verify that me site looks the way I want it to before putting it into production. I was thinking to install a 2nd wordpress installation and copy the html from some of the production pages and posts into it (so that I can see real but non-production pages), and then when ready copy the appropriate files to the production directory.

Is that how do people do this or is there a better way?

So far, that seems to work properly and it doesn’t seem to break anything! You really should remove the non “pro” version from the wordpress site and include this one instead.

I have the exact same problem. I am using WordPress 3.2.1. I’m also surprised that your own development page either doesn’t have your plug-in installed or else it doesn’t work.

I’m happy to give you the URL of the web site but because it’s not public yet (and the domain will change) I’d rather not have the URL archived here. I can send it to you in an email. I don’t have your plug-in activated right now but I will do it if I know when you want a demo.
