As for the Database question – so do I got to cPanel > phpMyAdmin > wp_options and then delete everything I find in this list that has “ai1ec” in the option_name ? (The list seems to have 696 rows.)

– Database -> wp_options, click option_name to sort and delete everything with ai1ec_, this will delete plugin settings but events will remain in the database.

I’ve also tried deactivating plugins that have recently updated, but I still have the same problem with Timely Calendar.

Please could you explain what you mean by “requirement fields” ?
I haven’t checked require billing address, because it’s the shipping address (which could be different) that sets the postage costs.

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Error: http_build_query()The error may have been due to the fact that I was still running a very old version of PHP. Whilst I was preparing to follow your suggestion, I updated PHP to 7.1 and now the error message seems to have disappeared.

I can try this later. If I perform all the steps as described, can I be sure that all my content and layouts will be restored ?
I can confirm that 2.2.10 has fixed this issue for me too.
